  1. Situations dictate how I will react. Yours was a bit different. So we must act accordingly. I didn't know any of these people. Their action was one of complete disregard for my/other peoples boundaries. Someone asking me for permission to look around is totally different matter. Just walking down my drive, past my house and garage, and just nosing around is not something I take lightly. Nor do I like people and cars I don't know coming down my drive from off the street. The drive is about 120 feet long and clearly is different from the street surface. Most can see that it's a dead end and property drive. But we have had them come speeding off the street and sliding in the drive. It's clearly not a thru street. If you have a question or a problem, stop and come to the front. Don't head for the back. You don't have any need to be there unless invited. One evening a big old Buick did this. I knew I didn't know the car. It really didn't slow down. Just ran right by the house and ended by going into the back yard. Before the 2 young men could get out of the car, I was out to meet them at the drive. Yes, with a little bit of protection behind my back. They were loud and rude, insisting they were at the right place and here for the party. When I could not convince them of the error; they got a lot louder and a bit aggressive. Yes I'd say drinking was involved. I yelled back to my wife to call for police, and the guys got nasty and a bit threatening. When they approached with arms up and clenched fists, I asked them to step back and leave. No results. so I let my hand come from behind my back. Attitudes changed somewhat then. Loudly and grudgingly, they left. Just as the police came. Last I saw of them was with blue lights flashing and chasing.
  2. Thanks. I have 2 of these with the orginal spouts. Wish I had bought more. lol Paid half of the current price for them.
  3. LOL I agree, but 5 rounds seems to be the standard for these sort of things. I've been to S&W and Beretta rollouts and given 5 each time. And I bet they won't have a XXXL for me either!
  4. It sure seems that the concept of individual and private ownership has been lost from the minds of people. They give no thought to wandering all over other peoples' lands. I've had people wandering in my back yard before. I asked what they were doing and told oh, just looking around. When I told them they were trespassing and to leave, the leader of the little group got hot and told me I was being and ass. I suggested that first he meet me , then ask about walking thru my property. The suggested he leave as I was calling Metro. They left cursing me.
  5. Yes,,,but you don't have Nashville drivers to contend with. lol
  6. Springfield site suggests 899 msrp on it.
  7. LOL!!! I was about to say that. About the only things I like are the foregrip and the handgrip, and those aren't all that great. Many similar grips around, and the foregrip looks like a slightly modified Magpul. Not complaining about them. They are good examples of work product, but after all the hype...I think we all expected something more.
  8. Great story to hear, Grayfox54. It's wonderful when cs people and warranty service are both top notch. All too often in this world that is not the case. I've owned 4/5 Walthers in my days, all have been perfect. But it's good to know that I can get help easily if needed.
  9. Very good plan. I did something similar just before the Y2K farce. But not with as many cans. I really should start that again. What type of cans do you use for gasoline?
  10. I don't think I would have stood around there like he did. Leaving would have seemed to be the best idea.
  11. I agree with you, but some of the newer Bushnell products are pretty nice as well. They are on a par with the Vortex line too. I'm looking at a Bushnell 1-4x24 Illuminated AR Riflescope. Seems pretty good.
  12. And the newer models are, I think, a bit better than my mine.
  13. You will like one even more after you shoot it! lol
  14. That was a good one! Did you know that the movie was actually based on 2 different books? The Tower, and The Inferno. Parts of both books were combined for the movie production. I think I may still have the books. Both were good reads.
  15. Well...that certainly isn't good. But is that a fair comparison? After Keanu doesn't act...he just walks thru and snarls his lines, and shoots guns. lol
  16. Yep...bad old eyes again.
  17. That looks very good, buddy! I'm sure it's the old eyes, but is that black or a green finish on it?
  18. Thanks for the review. I didn't have high hopes for it anyway. Brown's novels are so intricate and detailed it would take several weeks of a daily series to down the Inferno book justice. However, since my wife is a Tom Hanks fan...I guess we will be going anyway.
  19. We all favor different colors. I lean towards the medium to dark "blonde" woods myself.
  20. A little too red for my tastes, but the rifle looks good. Let us know how it handles. I've been looking at the PSA version as well.
  21. But you, Sir; may be just a wee bit prejudiced on the matter. lol
  22. SWEEEET!!!
  23. And the defense is better this year too.
  24. Nice Bike!!
  25. They both looked...mediocre at best. But enough about the playing. Those uniforms were butt-ugly, for both teams. I don't know which was worst, the pukey baby blue; or the does this make my butt like big gold.
