  1. Where's the stock for that rifle? lol Looks really good. I considered trying that with a 9mm barrel. Just might have to go back to thinking. lol
  2. Yeah, sure Bob. You'll get right on that.
  3. Wow! Only 13 of us? That's not cool guys. Need some more to erase the bad mojo from that number!
  4. PMC Bronze, Federal, Sellier&Belloit, etc, I find that the European 9mm seems to work better in the AR9s I have. And 124 grain works very well. I have had some cycling issues with Freedom Munitions reloads, and Winchester white box ammo. For the most part, my experience has led me to using a hotter load ammo for less problems. Granted I'm not an expert, not even close, but I'd recommend trying some 124 in yours.
  5. Hey...that was said in confidence!

During the Manning Era, I worked with three of the most obnoxious Vol fans you could ever imagine. From Monday morning till Friday at quitting time. All I ever head was Vols...Peyton...Vols...Peyton...Peyton...Peyton...Peyton. Seemed to be the only thing ever talked about. The season end didn't stop it. They immediately went into "next year" mode. I grew to really hate him and the team. I admit Peyton will probably be remembered as one of, if not the greatest, quarterback of out times, but I just couldn't bring myself out of being sickened by him. Ok, years pass and now Peyton is at Indy. What do I hear? Same thing again, I'm doomed to live in a world where I'm alone in my feelings. lol But actually, I totally agree with David, we get more enjoyment in our sports watching time with the college teams than the pros. And for pretty much the same reasons. Go Vandy!
  7. Same here. But I did leave the tumbler running too long the first several times. Really didn't seem to do anything other than make the casings nice and shiny.
  8. Darn interesting reading here. I'm going to send some letter in hopes of getting a little attention going as well. Like everyone else here, I would love to add a few cans to my stuff. I have a cheap(relatively speaking) that I bought years ago as part of a Ruger package. Took almost 6 months to be able to get the can then. I've wanted to do it again, but just haven't had the spare cash to pony up for the grift.
  9. This has been brought up several times, but I just like to get and hear opinions from others. What do you think of using cleaning media and tumbling rounds for cleaning. I have some 38 and 357 rounds that were subject to some humidity issues and have done a bit of cleaning on them. Just to clean discoloration off. Never tried with heavy tarnished rounds.
  10. All good answers. Storage condition is the key. I've shot 50+ year old 45acp my dad loaded, and some military ball with boxes stamped 1950. I wish I'd just kept them instead.
  11. I really like the center one with the blue scales. Would you call that a modified drop point? Or maybe a moded Tanto? Either way, nice knives. I recently got a ZT0456(I think that was the number) from willis. I really like it. Been clipped to my pocket almost every day since. It's still a bit heavier than my ideal, but it's so nice, I'm adapting to it.
  12. I really shouldn't get too upset over it. With the unbelievable volume of ammo produced from literally all over the world; it's amazing we all don't see more problems than we do.
  13. I had several FTE problems today. I was using a combination of older ammo, all 9mm. Some Blazer aluminum case, some Freedom Munitions reloads, and some old PMC. The Blazed gave no trouble at all. Nor did the PMC. But the Freedom Munitions did. In both a G19 and a Roni carbine shell with a G17. Several times. I've had several issues with the Freedom products lately, from the FTEs to a couple of split cases and cases jamming in the barrel throat with the primer base being ejected. It's enough that I'm beginning to think that the FM rounds I have(several thousand) may be relegated to last case use status. Maybe I shouldn't say that. I've had good luck with their products in the past.
  14. I understand that. My father-in-law once paid 500 for that privilege as well. But he got to do it from the deck of a Huey. It's been probably 10 years ago, and it gets mentioned now and then. lol
  15. A rental!?? I sure wish Royal was closer. Sounds like a good place to look at stuff.
  16. YES!! Dibs on the first attempt to buy from you. lol
  17. Just one more reason to stay out of that separate and strange country.
  18. To continue this line of thought...lol. Was it difficult to mount the Leupold and the new taller sight on the slide? I'm guessing some milling was needed to do this? Yes, I'm being nosey. I like the idea here. I had a short experience with a mrd on one of my glocks and wasn't happy with it. I found it difficult to adapt to hold in the pistol lower down and find the red dot in the sight. But now giving some thought to trying again. So any thoughts and advice you might give would be appreciated.
  19. Very interesting. I like it. I see a few changes there. lol Tall front and rear sights. Rear moved in front of your Leupold. Suppressor height? Can you see them thru the glass when the dot isn't on?
  20. Payment sent. Sorry for waiting so long.
  21. Sweet!!
  22. Nice. I didn't care for the FDE at first, but I'm beginning to like it.
  23. That's ok, but I want the 32 I paid for my last 2. Seriously though, I'm not sure I will buy any more for a while. I've got about all I can reasonably shoot and maybe more. Now if a really fantastic price, and I mean really low price, should come around on parts kits, I might add a few and have some spares. Which reminds me, I still have one of Dolomite's trigger kits left, maybe I do need another. lol
  24. Geee, I'm a piker compared to you Cartel. But I just got my CDNN order with my SOPMOd Stock, some HK style sights, and a Sig 38 Super barrel.
