  1. Got the chance to shoot a Victory recently, and I really liked it. But it wasn't at all stock. Volquartsen trigger assembly and other internals. Slide had been modified for an RMR. It shot very good, and seemed to be very accurate. Not sure I'd buy one, but it was impressive.
  2. SAWEEEET!!1
  3. About 3(?) years ago, I found some Cree 3 light sets at Costco for 30 bucks each and bought several. Even for a couple guys here. They are all still working, but one never seems to have enough flashlights around when you need them. So I'm looking at the the 2 mentioned above. I like the keychain model, but hate carrying the additional bulk in my pocket. Several keys and fob for the car is enough for me.
  4. Looks great! I just tried adding some veggies to my chili and spaghetti sauces. A different taste for sure, but I added far too much corn to my chili for my taste, but the group I fed seemed to love it. I got a bit overboard during prep and had to go get a larger pot. lol Found a 16 quart at K-mart(it was closest) for 11 bucks, came back and threw everything I could find in the pot. Had 3+ gallons of chili when I finished. Five pounds of ground beef(drained to prevent heartburn), 3 cans chopped tomato, 5 cans of chili beans, 2 each of kidney and black beans, 4 cans of assorted Hunts sauce for the base, 2 apples size onions, a large can of mushrooms, and 3 cans of whole kernel yellow corn. And yes the usual assortment of red/green peppers, 2 packs of the Carol Shelby Chili powder, and all the chili spices I had at home. Simmered for 5 hours, then fed the roofing crew and took the pot to our neighborhood meeting. Everyone seemed to like it. I had one small bowl and left the rest for others to eat. After a day long session it was just not appealing any more.
  5. Wise decision.
  6. Yes, great pistols. I have a 65, and 2 66 models. Some of the best shooting Smith revolvers ever.
  7. Now you're getting it!
  8. Hey...that's my line!
  9. See...that sounds like a good one!
  10. Aw come on...they aren't that bad. lol Besides...you can build up brownie points for being a good guy and not only letting her watch peacefully, but joining in and being a good caring and understanding husband and showing a little emotion and your lady-side to her.
  11. I can't answer your question about all being the same company. I don't know. As far as the 22 Blazer vs the CCI labeled boxes; at least in the Dolomite heavily modified 10/22 I have...the CCI seems to be a bit more accurate. And I think a little less prone to have a bent round in the boxes. But I'm far from being a great shot. I'm not a bullseye or long rage shooter. More of a plinker and pleasure shooter. So I tended to go for quantity at a good price when I bought the Blazer 22. I found a case of it after the "shortage scare" and paid way too much for it(by my cheap standards anyway). Right at 11 cents a round back then, but I was paranoid and couldn't get 22 anywhere. So I just bit the bullet, so to speak, and bought it. As far as getting anything at local Walmarts around here...I never see much of anything. Like Musicman always tells us, seems like Academy is the best source.
  12. Ok, I'll admit to it. I watch them with my wife. That's all. (Actually, some of them aren't too bad. Most have the same general plot line, and the others usually parrot some version of A Christmas Carol or It's a Wonderful Life. But it does this old man good to see something wholesome now and then.)
  13. No...you most definitely are not. My wife says I'm a packrat to borderline hoarder.
  14. I buy most of my jeans from Sam's. Usually around 13-14 bucks a pair. Also have found some really nice Wranglers at second-had stores for under 10. I'm wearing some of them now in fact.
  15. American ingenuity at it's best! If you can't find it...make it!
  16. Great advice. I listened to Dave while I was a route sales guy for about 13 years. His principals are sound. I finally used most of them and got us in pretty good shape. Then my medical bills jumped in and we are no longer out of debt. But working towards it again. And for honesty in my post...I didn't strictly adhere to all Dave's rules, but enough took with me that I saw the value and used them in my life.
  17. I really don't like the looks of the 07, and the feel is all wrong for me. Just me.
  18. Ditto. Very much like it.
  19. LOL!! I like Beretta. I like their products. But...I never seem to keep one of the 92/96/M9/etc models. I have one left, a Desert Storm Commerative model. Other than that, I really like several others more. I had a P07, but just couldn't make myself like it. Don't really know why. So I'm curious about the P10. But I'm really impressed with the Canik. Would love an Elite. But not at 400+. Not whenI can get another TP9SF for less than 350.
  20. Suggested MSRP of 500. I probably would give it a try. I'm getting less and less in love with my G19. But not being a fan of the P07/09, I'll have to see it. Also ran into some info on the Canik TP9SF Elite. This one does interest me more.
  21. Had to wear clothes...that's just not right.
  22. Must know more!!!
  23. Been there...done that, I don't think they will be topped by work parties. At least mine never were. lol
  24. You guys are making me very hungry!
