  1. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll love it. Well I hope you do anyway. I've been tempted by the 97BD several times, but just can't seem to buy. Don't really know why. lol But it is on my want list for someday.
  2. Great looking blade you got there! Of course I'm a little less than objective about it as I'm a Tanto style fan. lol
  3. I'm proud to stand with you brother!
  4. Darn, those are some nice looking knives! I've liked Kershaw a lot, but only had one or two over the years. This like has me thinking about them again lol
  5. Why? Because they can. Actually it's almost that simple. Give any group the power to levy taxes, and the tax revenue sources will be found. If it just happens to be something a specialized group likes or wants, all the better. Tax them for the privilege. They won't grip, and if they do...so what. The politicos have the power. We don't.
  6. Thanks. I've been giving some thought to something like this to have an opportunity to utilize a spring here if necessary.
  7. FWIW...I have an HK Epidemic. It doesn't meet your pricing criteria though. I bought it on impulse while in Knoxville and visiting a friend and a gun shop. lol It's a really good knife. Opens and closes easily and quickly. Does take a firm grip and push on the release to do so. Has a good edge and has been overall a very good letter and package opener for me. Did I say it was an impulse buy? Seriously though, the HK knives from Benchmade are pretty good. I had a Boker 3.5 inch that I really loved. It stopped working in less than a week. Boker refused to warranty it though. Said the auto knives were not "in house" products. That they were done by another source and not eligible for their warranty repair program. Granted this has been a few years ago, and I haven't bought another Boker since.
  8. I think Chucktshoes is onto the issue. I do want a Godson, and would have found a way to pay for it. But at this time of the year, some of us might be feeling a bit strained. I don't think it's a rejection of you or the knives, and I really do believe that; but perhaps waiting a few months would get a better response. Not backing off or out of the purchase, but it could be something for you to think about.
  9. Awesome. Got chills.
  10. Now, now, buddy. You're equating real life with the wonderful world of tv writers. They don't see reality the way we do. lol
  11. I like it.
  12. Yes, I'll echo Sybo's thoughts. That's a great looking combo. One any dad would be glad to own. Especially with the history this one will have.
  13. LOL! Yeah...with all those Rugers, how'd Springers and a Winnie get in there?
  14. LOL!
  15. NOW THAT'S FUNNY!
  16. OK, buddy. As per our long standing traditions here...Pics or it didn't Happen! lol
  17. I've been giving thought to some sort of small optical sight lately. Possibly a Burris FastFire 111 or like the Bushnell First Strike. A laser/light combo does make a lot of sense though. Just too many options and too little money to do it all at once though.
  18. How did I not know this was on?? Oh yeah...Madam Secretary. My wife is nuts over this show.
  19. Hmmm. It does resemble the 75.
  20. Yes, the charging handle goes really fast. I hope you signed up for the notification when it's restocked. I did. But I couldn't wait for it. lol I was checking the site every time I got near my PC. I bought a brace kit for mine initially, but soon decided I wanted the folding stock kit so I could go the SBR route. (If you would like the arm brace kit, let me know. I'll put you in it below current costs.) So I have everything ready for it to be complete. Just have to do the form 1 and send the blackmail payment in so I can assemble it. I've not been a sling sort of guy, but as I'm thinking of this as a poor man's pdw, as well as home defense and range use, I'll probably do a single point sling on it at some point.
  21. It's certainly an interesting piece of work. I'd like to see one, as would we all, I'm sure. The ballistic gel test results shown at 100 meters is impressive.
  22. Could be. I personally think it makes more sense than the Kriss.
  23. So what is this mysterious rifle?
  24. OK...you sold me. I'll get it on my next Amazon order. I seem to be getting stuff from them rather frequently these days.
  25. Sorry. Can't type. That's 417. The stainless version of the 317.
