Personal preference here, after fondling both, I seem to like the PPQ a little more. And with all the polymer guns I have, this is a little strange to say, but I like the metal framed PPQ more as well. But that's what makes it fun for all.

You continue to amaze me with your guns. I am envious.

Asinine remarks from an "I Know What's Best for You" Clinton quoting liberal.

One of the best comments on polls I've ever heard.

Dennis, you are a better man than me. If they give me a snake free zone around the house, I'll let them be. But this year have had several want to take up residence on the steps at my back door. A couple of them didn't want to move...so I moved them a little forcibly.

Ray Stevens for President!!! He would at least be more entertaining.

Jonnin sums it up pretty well here for the 9 vs 38 vs 357. From there it's exactly what everyone else has said...whatever feels best to you. That's pretty much the crux of the question, and no one else can make that decision for you. But to add a little more fuel to this fire...I have the CZ Rami and it's a pretty potent little package. Pretty easily conceal carried, and loaded with 124 gr defensive ammo, is more than adequate to handle any close up situation. And on the flip side, I have a very comfortable SW Model 19 3inch that gets a little carry time, and a lot of range time. It also is a good carry choice and is very accurate with a little practice. For me, for pure shooting fun, I like the Mod 19 at the range. I was giving a friend of my wife's son a little shooting lesson. He's 14 about to turn 15 and he thinks there's nothing but hicap autoloaders worth shooting. Since it was the first time I'd been with him, I wanted to see how he handled several calibers. Very grudgingly he agreed to shoot a 22 revolver, and then my mod 19 with 38s in it. He was all over the place, just snapping the trigger fast as he could. When we pulled up his target, looked at it and fussed that the sights must be off, he couldn't hit the 10 ring with it. I said I didn't think so and took it and proceeded to put 6 rounds in a quarter sized hole at 7 yards. He shut up about the sights. But couldn't get him off the autos, so I let him shoot my Glock 19 and it was all I could do to keep mags loaded for him. He blasted thru 8 mags as fast as he could drop and reload. I finally did get him to slow down and work a few basics with him. And I must say he's a pretty good beginner. Anyway, sorry, I got sidetracked here.

Hmmmm. That might cut back the number of people wanting the job anyway.

I have heard and read of some recoil spring issues with Shields. My first one had a tendency to have ejection issues til I started using 124 gr loads. That immediately cured the issue. I've continued to use them and am very satisfied with it. After a few hundred more I'll go back to the 115 and give it a hard range session. From reports, that should do the trick on it. The second I got has had no problems with anything at all.

Second Garufa's comments. I own 2 of them and other than mine liking 124 gr over the 115, I love them.

You deserved it. LOL

I have done just that when predrilling holes. More than once, no less.

I think Jonnin is right. Looks like the lighting was a little harsh and is misrepresenting the color a bit. If you look more toward the rear of the slide and the hammer...the darker it appears. And that looks interesting. When you view the pic on your monitor, does it look the same as "live" on the pistol?

OWWW!!! My eyes!! Gosh that 's ugly!

Yep, like my Galco Avenger(?) and a couple of older pieces for some Sigs I don't carry. But it's hard to beat a Serpa for carry comfort and retention. Just a little bulky for me unless wearing a very large shirt or jacket.

Congratulations Jesse! That's a wonderful achievement. Now if you'd just give me a kick to the backside so I will do something good for myself.

Just re-read this thread and Caster's on rust issues. And I must admit it makes mw want to break out all the cleaning stuff and get to work on everything I own. Like Caster, I sweat. I don't perspire. If I work in the yard more that 5 minutes, I look as if I just took a shower with clothes on. Luckily, I think, I don't have a situation where I have to carry in a work environment; so I probably won't have that big an issue. But I have seen several times where the front sight(stock) on my G19 has a little cruddy growth on it. So I guess even the world's best pistol can have problems occasionally.

JMO. The first ones there were great. The last few I went to were pretty much just a so-so event. About like a slightly larger version of the Goodman Fairground show.

Just checked this out. Really sharp looking and should be great on the rifle. This really adds fuel to the raging inferno in my mind on these. Wonder if I can talk my local guy into a layaway deal?
-
LOL. I seem to be as well, at least that's what my safe would indicate.

Great buy.

There's waaaaay too many of them in Washington to make a choice for #1. Any, well almost any, Dem. Lots of Rino Repulicans. Most all the appointed posts. And of course one of my favorites...All of the State Department.

Yes, I agree on the implied commentary. Don't want to think like that, but having a little pessimism and being prepared certainly can't hurt. Case in point, I was in a local Wally the other day and found 100 round boxes of Federal 45 at 28 per. Didn't really NEED them, but bought 3 as a precaution. There were also some WWB, but I left them.
