  1. Usually a decent to good show. Personally I rate it higher than any Goodman show.
  2. Now that's sportsmanship!
  3. Food for thought.
  4. Congratulations on a job well done. It's even better that it has such a history behind it.   I'm sure you and your family will get much enjoyment from all your hard work.
  5. Very sad that a person can lose a job because of defending his life.
  6. They both look great. And having owned both, I can attest to your statements. But as the years go by, I have since sold both and moved on to others.   Do wish I'd kept the 8045 though.
  7.   What network?
  8.   Really? I haven't seen them.
  9. Just what I need...another toy to play with.
  10. "Not a big hard criminal." And although a drug user, he maybe would have robbed the store to pay child support for his young daughter. These comments from his mother. Ok, she virtually says he is a criminal, maybe not Al Capone yet, but might rob to pay his obligations for child support. The late "not big hard criminal" didn't think working was the way to care for his child? Work bad. Theft...ok. What's wrong here? Maybe he would have turned his life around. Maybe not. But he chose a course of action and received the consequence of his choice. Sadly, the results were terminal. He won't get to try again. Choices and actions have consequenses. We all learn that. Some more easily than others. I know I did. And I'm living the results of my choices. Some good, some not so great. As for the shooter, well...I wasn't there. I won't say he was right or wrong. But the report says he shot in self defense. If that's the case...there's another bad choice for the "not a hard criminal."
  11.   That seems to be the last caliber, pistol caliber anyway, that's on the shelves most every store. Although not a favorite of mine, I do still have a couple of 40 pistols. I just don't shoot them frequently. But I do have what I consider an adequate supply for them on hand.   Maybe I need to buy some more of the 40 as a safeguard; having some for trade later. Or maybe just in case I can't get anything else.
  12.   Dual Congratulations to you. First for the good deed. And Secondly for searching and finding something to make your life better!
  13.
  14. I started an account after some of my relatives badgered me into it for "easy communication." As I got into it, I realized how much I really, really disliked it. Stopped and never went back. Told them all if they wish to talk with me...there's a device called a telephone.
  15. Thanks for the " behind the scenes look and info."
  16. School is stupidest here. Really banning for posting picture a permit on facebook? But the lady isn't too bright either. She's running a really close second for posting that on facebook. I mean, really? Posting personal information like that on FB? But then I'm not a facebook fan anyway. So what do I know. I don't fb. If I want to broadcast my life for all the world, I'll write a dull autobiography.

    Ruger SR45

Yes, Joe, it is. I've been tempted to pass it on to a friend of mine, but I take it out for a few rounds and then decide to keep it a little longer.
  18. In any event, the letter is still an extremely good statement about the state of public concern within the OBama administration.   I'm surprised he didn't offer this little bit of advice...   "Let Them Eat Cake."
  19.   Same here. Over the last5-6 years, I've bought quite a bit from Eric and company. Always shipped quickly and never had an issue with any of their products...well I did have a little problem with some South American manufactured magazines once; but even after the return period, they accepted them and gave me a full refund.   If prices get back to something I can stand, I'll probably continue buying from them.
  20.         Possible play on Obama's "You didn't make That"?

      Or in your case...be fickle.

    Ruger SR45

Way behind the curve there, Mikey. I got one a year ago. Do agree that it is one heck of a great 45. Holds, points and shoots very naturally for me. In fact I'd say that it shoots and holds much better than the G21.   And I found it to be the most accurate just pick up and shoot pistol I've owned. (Must take the SR45 and the Shield out for a side by side accuracy test. Probably not fair with all the differences between them, but both are very impressive for fast and easy shooting.)     For me though, I was thoroughly unimpressed with the SR9/40. Owned 2 of the 9 and 1 40 for a while. Just didn't like the feel of them. Probably just the Glock hands that couldn't adapt. LOL   And did this topple the PPX from the top of the pile for you?
  23.   Good points there, CCPT. Guess time will tell...
  24.       Guys, I'm not saying that the mags are faulty or dangerous. Just that for carry and defensive use, I stick to the factory mags. I know any mag can be defective, or have an issue with age/use; but traditionally it has seemed to be safer with the orginals.   Heck, I have aftermarket mags for several of my gun. Taurus and Sigs especially, not to mention Beretta and CZ.
