  1. Dang. Sounds good. Also getting me in the mood for some gumbo.
  2.   Totally right, mav.   It takes an adult to raise a child. Someone who has a sense of value on life and a moral character. Someone willing to stand up. Be Responsible. Take command of his or her own life and see that parenting is a big part of the answer to our current social problems.   And not one of these "it takes a village to raise a child". That's pure bovine scatology. That sort of thinking is what leads to kids wandering the streets looking for entertainment.   They get no guidance. Therefore, they have no direction. Just an aimless, wandering existence. Full of the "gimme" and "me, me" attitudes. Looking for instant gratification with no thought or concern to consequences to themselves or others.
  3. Very nice. Yours?
  4. Do you mean muzzle flash or like a long flame from night or dark firing? Or like from the cylinder?
  5. That's Great! I love  Colion Noir...uh...wait...Uh...I mean... uh...I like, yeah...that's it. I like Colion Noir.
  6. Can't go wrong with Charlie on the radio.
  7. Well spoken, sir.
  8.   :squint:  Shame on you sir. Get one?
  9.   That about sums it up for us all I think.
  10. Excellent communication skills.
  11. I stopped in on a trip to Knoxville a couple of years ago. (Yes Major, that trip.) My brother-in-law and I were just killing time til the next meet we had scheduled and I thought it might be nice since I had never been in a GM store.   It was an eye-opening experience to say the least. I was looking for a 1.5 in gun belt to fit my oversize waistline. 65 bucks. For that I got a Chinese import piece of leather from some unknown exploited worker.   For a few bucks more I got a good high quality piece from a local leather shop.
  12. Yes, that was a great help. Thanks, daddyo. You got my answer in a great fashion. So the 0770 is somewhat thinner, a bit shorter, and I'd say noticeably lighter than the 0350. Still like the looks. Might be next for me. But then again, I'm looking at Kim Breed's knives as well. If you don't know of Kim Breed, google him. Kim makes some beautiful knives. I have a Damascus Ladder Folder of his that you wouldn't believe.
  13. Very nice. Since I got my ZT0350, I've been more inclined to look at pocket carry knives. This looks to be a little smaller than the 350. Do you know if that is the case?
  14.       Great response from both of you guys.   I am in agreement here; I don't care if the man in the big office is purple and orange.  It's the job that he does and how well it's done that concern me. If that person betters the country, ends problems, and just generally acts with some modicum of good sense and composure when dealing with people and issues...that's the man for the job.   You know...the polar opposite of the current officeholder.
  15. To all...if recoil is a consideration for your wives; think several times about the Nano. Try to get one to fire first. I don't personally feel that the Nano is a good choice for most women if it is a fist gun or first carry gun.   I found the recoil on it to be pretty harsh. My wife fired one shot and hated it. Strongly and loudly. Absolutely refused to fire it again. And yes she is experienced with my guns. It wasn't a first time with a handgun.
  16. Wow. That's a preparedness plan. And it's one most of us could do easily. I admit I'm pretty lax in doing a lot of these things, but it's been on my mind for quite a while. My greatest problem is storage. Living in a low-lying area, water is a great concern. Yes, we've been thru one major flood issue, and once is enough. But it's enough to make you remember it every time it rains. And moving is not an option at this time. So I'll do what I can for my wife and myself for now.
  17.   I think you'll like the ending. Not your typical wrapup by a long shot. And it's time for me to read it again. I've had about all the detective mystery/crime stories I can handle for a while.
  18. YEP. Just ask Jackson and all the others. But he will probably say it was a public outcry that recruited him to be the frontman for the African-American community.
  19. Makes as much sense as any other out there.
  20.   Might take a few pounds of filler as well.
  21.   I suspect that a great many of us are going to fall into the hoarder category for a while at least.   I don't plan on snatching everything I see, but will try and pick up a box or so when I see it at a reasonable price. Then if the supply  and price warrants, I'll buy case lots. But whether or not we see the "old" pricing on the major pistol and rifle calibers again is still questionable.
  22. Most unusual. Great thoughts and comments. I'm exceedingly surprised it's on youtube(still).
  23.    Maybe there's hope for the rest of us.
  24. Thanks. Had I a reason to go in that direction, it would make a great trip.
  25. Holy Crap, Batman!   I haven't seen anything like that! Anywhere!    Sure it's gone by now, but do you mind saying where it was?
