  1. Glad you are ok, Luke.   What was the car, if I can ask?   I'm sorry, it's just morbid curiosity. I used to work for a parts company servicing body shops.
  2. Just proves there are some hearts with saving out there. Maybe there's a little hope for the left coast.   That was a terrific thing to do!
  3. Inflation costs?
  4.   And to see who might buy one. Just to hang on the wall as decoration I'm sure.
  5. With the hardcore liberals in my neighborhood....I probably would get invited to move.
  6.   Yes, it was very saddening; but I'd say truly realistic if a child were in that condition...I think many would do exactly that.   I've said it before...but I think for me, that One Second After is one of the, if not THE most frightening EOTWAWKI book I've read.
  7. Thank you for posting this.   May we never forget our fallen.
  8. I won't knock the Heritage pistols, I had one for a while. As Murgatroy says they are fun guns for short range, but I've had Smith 22 models for so long I just couldn't really warm up to them. The moral of the story is, if you want an inexpensive range toy; ther're great. If you want a serious 22 revolver...get one of the Smith models--K22, 617, etc. They won't be as cheap, but you won't regret it.
  9.   It is totally sad that so many people fall on every word some of the actors spew out. Never understood how being able to play "make-believe" for a living gives one the lordly status it seems to in this world.
  10.   Resellers are still at it. My store guy said it's the same ones coming in every morning. Five or six guys in a group waiting for stock to be shelved. Then buy the bulk packs and the 22, leaving a little 40 and 45.   I'm sure there are still more guys like myself who buy a few boxes(still 3 limit) when they find some caliber they can use. But we sure can't account for all the purchases.
  11. Personally, I put these false news stories in with the guys who take pride and joy in screwing up our pc use all the time. Educated fools who delight in causing misery for others.
  12.   Are the newer models any better on the trigger pull? I've had an old Gammo NRA model for several years and found the trigger to be so hard that it is darn near impossible to be accurate with it.   And how do you like the suppressor models? Been thinking of buying one of them.
  13. Local WW told me today they had 80 boxes of CCI Stingers and Minimags on the shelf yesterday from 7am till noon. But of course that wasn't my day to go.
  14. Hmmmm. Bet that's not the response this would-be robber expected.
  15. 10 round proprietary mags? Not the best format in my opinion. I'd heard this was going to be the case, but hoped it wasn't so. Still looks as if the Beretta is the best way to go with the pistol caliber carbine.
  16. Thanks for asking that, GB. I was curious about that name. Didn't know if it was a person or a business. Good Luck, Spots. I hope you do well. One day I may make it to the Knox show.
  17. That was my fist thought!! Second thought...What a dumbass.
  18. Ooookay. Well...we will see.
  19. I've read it twice and find it to be brutally honest in respect to what could happen. And yes it does bring strong emotions into play from the reader. I have a diabetic b-I-l and he called it "truthful and chilling."
  20. I have no experience with the Canyon/Colorado line, but have had 3 different S10 vehicles and have been thoroughly satisfied with all of them. First was an 85 S10 2dr Blazer with the 2.8 v6. Very good little truck, good mileage and power for what it was. Bought an 89 model body of the same one with a blown engine and had a transplant done to it. Also a pretty good little truck. Sold them both when I bought a 98, 4.3engine, with 4 doors and 4wd. Great ride and drive. Wasn't the best on mileage at around 16, even less in 4wheel. Had the 98 until the 2010 floods and my insurance totaled for water damage. I looked for another to replace it, but didn't find one in the condition and price I wanted. All things considered, I think the S trucks were very good, and if you find one at a fair price, could be a good choice. I will say though, that before my retirement, I worked part sales to mech shops and body shops; and the comments on them weren't nearly as nice from the techs as the older S10 series.
  21. Right.
  22. Pretty much on target here, but I have gone to a few H'ville shows, the early ones, that were just packed.
  23. Gotta give Caster his due...love guns with a fun switch, but difficult to shoot accurately and costs an arm and a leg to keep the thing firing. And I do speak from experience.
  24. Pond Scum. Don't insult animals by calling these lowlife creatures animals.
  25. Personal opinion here. I really like the Seecamp pistols. Have not owned one yet. But have handled and shot several in 32acp and was impressed with the quality and capabilities of the little guns.
