  1. Recently...that has been me. At least according to my wife.
  2. I'll certainly keep an eye open! Been absent recently, but watching for a GT Bowie could get me back more often!

    Arthritus

CBD cremes work wonders on my arthritis. Thumbs and fingers. Especially gripping a big pistol frame.
  4. As of late Saturday afternoon...Inglewood ranged from 3.99 to 4.19. Yes that hurt when my 20 gallon tank was on "E", but not as bad as it is for guys traveling with their camper trailers and big buses. I'm sure you guys saw the news blurb the other day about the 970+ fill-up on the big RV. That had to hurt!
  5. I've had the 43x in my possesion. I really liked the size and the feel of it. Especially with those 15 round mags. Alas, this small, lightweight package was too much for my arthritis. Pretty stiff recoil for my hand. That's just my experience with them. Otherwise, I liked the 43x a lot.
  6. Don't feel bad, buddy. I had bought a Sig 365XL and was feeling pretty good about it...until this appeared. lol.
  7. I've been saying that for a long while. Like about January of 2020. I didn't believe a word of the origin story then and I still don't. Even if I had thought of believing any of it, after a few words from that weasel Fucchi I would have.
  8. A single man can sometimes be good. Mankind as a whole sucks.
  9. Why not...I'm In! XL
  10. You definitely have some beauties there! I'm a wee bit envious!
  11. Let's cry together on this one. Many years past, I was in a semi-local gunshop during a Turkey Day Sale. Found myself looking over a shelf of S&W magnums. Three sort of reached out and grabbed me by the cojones. A Lew Horton 629, a Model 19-2, and a Smith Mountain gun. I couldn't seem to make a decision...so the clerk suggested I just buy all 3. So I did. Wife had a fit when I got home. How much did you spend? I told her the truth. All three came to just under 1K. I'm sure I won't see that again. At least I wouldn't think so. I still have the others, but I sold the 629 to a co-worker a few years later for 750 and was very happy. That let me more than clear the others. But I sure have regretted letting that 629 go. And a Lew Horton model at that. Of course, most of the younger guys won't know that name. Just trust me. It might have been the best of the lot.
  12. You Lie, Sir! I've seen your gun room!!
  13. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE.
  14. Been there...done that! Once my day looked so sh---y, I just eased back out of the parking lot before I was seen. I didn't work there much longer. My choice though.
  15. Like Magic and ED, I have had reservations on buying the AMMO brand because of the many negative comments I see on it. However, I heartily applaud Richard Childress and AMMO , Inc for this gesture. In watching several news reports in the link Dirtshooter shared, it seems that individuals are also contacting AMMO Inc and making offers to aid in this shipment. Whether it be in terms of helping pay, or adding additional amounts to the shipment; I think it a fantastic idea. I wish I were in the fiscal shape to make a large contribution myself. Been watching this since day one when it was announced, and hoping to see this done more quickly than the conversations seem to say about the time it's taking to move on the situation. I just hope and pray the wonderful "Government" we have doesn't step in and nix the operation.
  16. This is just so wrong! And oh so very funny!!!!
  17. I think this one really does apply to me. Didn't really change my activities or lifestyle. Stayed the same old reclusive hermit who lives on the keyboard and buys usless S*** from Amazon and EBay. Still doing it. Is that wrong?
  18. Yeah. I get it. lol. Brings back a lot of memories from the late 60's!
  19. Personally, I have some questions here. A 6 o'clock hold on the bull at 7 yards and it's shooting 2 inches low? Now what I'd want. I grant you that the grouping is great though. Is he using a benchrest or shooting freehand? He makes a comment later in the video while shooting at 25 yards about freehand. All in all, I wasn't impressed with his style of reviewing. JMO.
  20. Oddly enough...I think I like it. Gives the Glock a certain panache that improves it's looks. LOL! Although not really a fan of the "battleworn" appearance of many manufactured items, this does work. Has a realism to it that makes it work.
  21. The SR9c and the SR45 were in my stable for quite a while. I sold the SR9c, as it really just didn't feel right to me. Dunno why, it just didn't. The SR45 was another matter. IMO, one of the best shooting 45s made outside of the 1911. In a fit of major stupidity, I sold it as well. Putz am I.
  22. Sounds like you have a life and plans to go with it. I don't. I merely exist.
  23. Thanks, I will look int this. I really haven't gotten into audio books, especially since I retired. lol. But there are times I wonder if it would work for me. I could put on headphones and tune out the wife...uh...I mean not hear the tv and be interrupted by gushing wedding plans and tales of reunited lost loves on the Hallmark movies.
  24. I had never seen/heard this. Really good stuff!
