  1. I applaude you, sir. That was very nicely done. More of us should follow you example. And "Thank You" for your service to our nation.
  2. I think you'll like the P220. All told, I've had I think 5 over the last 10/12 years. Loved them all, but always seemed to find something else that called out to me. Down to 2 now. A 220 Dark Elite and a standard 220 that's running a 22 conversion on it now. These I'm keeping....
  3. Need a tool to field strip a handgun???? Not for me. I'll stick to the Glocks and the collection, though small, of 1911s I've accumulated in the last few years.
  4. I, and this is my opinion, and I don't profess to speak for others; do not wish to have my ability to sell my own personal property without the approval of the state or federal government removed.
  5. Devotees of Lenoard Embody perhaps? But total idiots nonetheless. There is a time and place for open carry. A posted theater...after a highly polarizing shooting... is neither.
  6. Guess I'm lucky. The only time my better half comments is if the pile outside the safe gets too big and she trips over it.
  7. What II Duce said.
  8. And I used to think Duck Dynasty was the low point.
  9. Anyone go to the Lebanon show? Just wondering what it's like. I couldn't get out this morning, so planning on going Sunday. May take a couple pistols and walk them around.
  10. According to my results, it seems I'm a questionable sort who probably won' be voting for Obama, and possibly an evil conservative with probable Republican leanings. As wih most "surveys" of this type, questions are formulated to give little but extremes of choice in aawnsers.
  11. You're younger than me...so that counts.
  12. Some young ladies just have no appreciation of the finer points of dark humor and melodrama. You'd think being married to Dolomite would've given her an better perspective on great gun humor.
  13. Man, that Chome M10 sure makes my nickle 10 look crappy.
  14. I'm looking forward to it. I really enjoyed the first one. But then, I can suspend the criteria that all movie action must be realistic....and just enjoy the wierdness, dark humor, and exploding bullits.

    Smith or Colt

Far more knowledgeable men than myself have given you their opinions, but it behoves me to say....I like the Smiths better. Have a 10, 2 15's, 17/K-22, 19,, 2 64's, 66, and assorted j-frames, though only a few. Just my preference. And just so you don't think I'm predujicical...got a few Ruger wheelguns as well.
  16. My apologies to all, I didn't mean to phrase it like that, I really meant that that was really all the buyer and sellers usually asked for and not always an FFL transfer.
  17. Ubertis are some georgeous guns. Not a real big fan of them because of my impatience with loading and unloading them. But beautiful and I'd like one nontheless.
  18. Two methods come to mind. One-Convince the buyer to go with you to an FFL and fill out the sale and transfer papers. The buyer would have to fill out a Form 4473 and have a Tn background check run and someone will have to pay for it. Possibly have to pay the FFL something to handle the transaction as well. Two--Use a Bill Of Sale form and fill in all information about the gun: make, model, serial number, barrel length, caliber, finish, etc. Exchange information as necessary for legality, names, addresses, phone numbers, etc. Some people want Tn Drivers liscence numbers recorded. I do not subscribe to that, but that's my feelings. After I verify residencey in Tn, age, check if permit holder, not necessary, but it makes me feel a little more comfortable, and feel safe with the buyer; I'm usually satisfied with the transaction. You do not have to use an FFL transfer, a signed, filled out bill of sale is all that is necessary in this state. But if you want to go thru an FFL, that's your perogative. But I think you'll get some reluctance from a lot of potential buyers on that. JMO
  19. We are blessed with the friendship and love of these little creatures during our lives. I firmly believe theirs is the closest thing to God's love we will experience on this earth.
  20. Actually, I think you should say where you were quoted this price. No one wants to overpay for anything these days. A fair profit is one thing, gouging is something else. If you're not adverse to it, how about a pm telling me who?
  21. Congrats on finally getting the Baby Jericho. I know you'll enjoy it. I did sell my 40 version and kinda, but not real hard, looking for a 9. So many to choose from out there. But still got the 941 kit.
  22. Yeah, I paid 389 OTD for mine a couple years ago when they were real hot and got told I was stupid to pay so much. I don't think I've ever seen one at 299, and usually rarely less than 350.
  23. Alas, that's true for me as well.
  24. And they make a heckofa flame show at night!
