  1. Ditto. But for the OP' girl, I'd vote for an XD9sc.
  2. Ok. Pissed off neighbor, ex-boy/girlfriend, or just someone wanting a few bucks turns you in because he/she knows you have a gun. At the least you get detained while the "authorities" check out your weapon. Maybe it's not a recorded transaction in some data base that doesn't exist, you don't have a "legal" reciept or bill of sale for it, or can't prove to the "authorities" satisfaction that your gun isn't legal on the spot. You get arrested before it can be proven "legal". Bills, fines, lawyers, etc later; It's ok. "Your papers are in order." Who gets to pay? Probably not the jerk on the other end of the phone. I don't see this as anything good coming of this little experiment.

    Sig MK25

It looks good enough to almost make me look for one. I like the Sig pistols, but for some reason I just seem to bypass them when looking for another gun. Maybe this will change that.
  4. Had one for several years and didn't shoot it much. Can't say that I remember any problems with it. I finally sold it because I just didn't seem to do anything with it.

    Sig MK25

Is that an anchor on the side in front of the ejection port? And would that make it the model that is rumored to be adopted by the Navy units?
  6. LCP + Crimson Trace. A great combo. Had one on mine for over a year.

    Ruger SR22

But on the plus side...the SR22 isn't quite as ugly as the P22. And what's with that honkin' big ambi safety on the frame?
  8. What sarcasm? With the exception of the commentary on the Spiderman Musical, seemed like a pretty factual retelling of the years' events. At least his version was more understandable than the media's.
  9. Can I just send you my address instead? And while I'm ejoying a good Flo's Filet...I'll memorialize them while there.
  10. For a Jeep...looks pretty good.
  11. Great thing you did for her and yourself. A memory to cherish. Great pics as well.
  12. Well said, BVD.
  13. "A man's got to know his limitations..." I admire your grasp of reality, Mike.
  14. Rant all you want my friend...you deserve the time to say all you need to. Nicotine addiction is a BEAR. I can't speak personally for it, but I watched my father stop that way at the age of 61. He had smoked for 46 years--unfiltered Lucky Strikes. I'm glad for you that you had a loving wife and children strong enough to keep on you to stop and see you through to quitting.
  15. Same here. I find the "quality" of these new lights to be lower than standard incandesecnt bulbs. That is lesser levels of brightness, a color shift toward the yellow, and a definite shorter lifespan. And as Ohshoot says, I've gotten several that wouldn't work right out of the package. I still buy a few exta bulbs each trip to Loews and Home Depot, who seem to have the lowest of the rapidly rising prices.
  16. Well...at least it gives me a partial list of places I won't go to.
  17. I thought it very plausible that a 17 year old could be snuck into a flight suit, into a cockpit of a multimillion dollar fighter right under the noses of the entire AF base and be taught to fly an advanced fighter by his father. Plus had a good soundtrack.
  18. Hey, wait a minute! I liked Iron Eagle.
  19. Sorry, David. I thought you were involved in that deal. Just a misconception when I bought some of that Starfire ammo from you earlier this year. BTW, great stuff.
  20. And I thought the Rhino was fugly.
  21. I'm kinda glad to see that happening, but in the Walmarts around me, I rather not see some of the customers handling weapons at all.
  22. That's my understanding.

    Ruger SR1911

    That's the ticket!
  24. Good awnser. When I bought my first safe, I really didn't realize just how little interior room there was. But I made do with it for a few years and then bought another, bigger safe. But....by that time, it was too small as well.
  25. Congratulations. How long did it take to find out it's not big enough?
