  3. Lamar's getting ready to find out that we're not as stupid as he thinks we are.

    Yellow Jackets!

Never knew how much a yellow jacket sting hurt till I ran over a nest in the ground in my front yard last summer. We've been in this house since 1984 and that was the first time I've ever had a yellow jacket problem. I got stung multiple times, with the back of my hand swelling up like a balloon and had to go to the doctor.   I got my revenge with some kerosene.
  7. I saw a guy OCing at a Kohl's one day. Didn't make me nervous at all. The store was very busy and either no one noticed or they just didn't care. The guy wasn't dressed weird and was very pleasant and cordial to the CS person who was helping him, so obviously how you carry yourself and your general demeanor goes a long way towards how you are perceived. If OC were more commonplace I would do it myself.
  8. One of my former bosses had pancreatic cancer and he survived it, so the good news is that it can be beaten.   Praying for your dad, your family, and the medical team treating him.
  9.   I'm with you, buddy. Been to NYC, Chicago, and LA. There was nothing there that made me want to return. This summer I'm taking the wife AND our tourist greenbacks to see the Grand Canyon, Zion National Park, and Bryce Canyon. She wants to go to NYC some day, so I suggested she get a girl trip going with some of her friends. I won't ever go back as long as nutjobs like Cuomo and de Blasio are running the show up there.
  10. Yes, it will be interesting to see how he portrays the NRA and legal gun owners. They'll probably all be bald headed, carry the Dixie flag and wear hooded sheets with swastikas all over them.
  11. I'd say that the governor won't have to worry about any of the "extreme" conservatives' tourism dollars visiting his state anytime soon either.
  12. I'm sure the travel industry in New York just loves this guy.   … You’re seeing that play out in New York. … The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.   http://blog.timesunion.com/capitol/archives/203801/cuomo-extreme-conservatives-have-no-place-in-the-state-of-new-york/
  13. I can't wait for this movie to bomb. I hope it bankrupts this fool and that Ms. Streep never works another day in her life in the film industry.
  14.   WD40 will take the old compound off.
  15.   I believe it will have an impact, but not in the way ol' Harve is thinking it will.
  16. Them look like Stropman strops.
  17. Another vote for Bullhidebelts.com. I have three of them. Wouldn't buy anything else.
  18. If this does pass and becomes law, the first thing I'm going to do is to send an email to a certain Williamson County Commissioner and rub it in his face.
  19. I am going to enjoy watching yet another Hollywood liberal crash and burn.
  20. All of mine are plain edge. I rarely have the need for a serrated edge, and I prefer the aesthetics and sharpening ease of a plain edge.
  21. I just discovered stropping in the past 6 months, and yes, it makes a huge difference. Plus, it's very relaxing to me. I can do it while watching the telly or just sitting and having a conversation with someone. The conversation tends to be more civil, too, depending on how large the blade is.   :pleased:

  23. A bullet that expands before it hits the target? I think someone doesn't get it.
