I recently purchased a rifle in MS and got a Hold placed on it by NICS for several days. Several years ago I made a purchase in GA and it had a hold placed on it before later being approved. My purchases in TN don't have this problem. I have recently completed a Voluntary Appeal File Application for the NICS in the hope this will prevent future delays from them.

As I was driving to a work assignment today, I stopped and picked up a can of Pepsi. As I was walking to the counter to pay for it I noticed a nfl logo. I sat the can down and purchased another product.

I have no idea what any player did. I didn't watch.

sent my goodbye email to them

I did have security clearances during active and reserve duty. The holds were on purchases in MS and GA. TN purchases haven't been a problem. Has anyone filed a Voluntary Appeal File Application with NICS? It requires providing information and fingerprints to prove identity.

Last weekend I was in north MS and saw a rifle I wanted to purchase. The NICS came back with a delay. Their website provides no information other than suggesting waiting 30 days to file an appeal. I never received any information from the NICS on the reason for the delay or result. The dealer called a four days later to ask if I still wanted the rifle as the hold was lifted.

I don't remember which manufacturers I preferred before losing them all. Seemed like my favorite was AMT or Hi Point.

The TR-3 is one of the few ProTech knives I don't have. I'm interested.

What boat? It sunk with my guns in it!

I like having both, but if I had to choose, the M1A would be my choice.

I don't have a TR-3 although I have the BR-1 and several other ProTech knives. If you order both, you will probably keep both!

Congrats on a nice rifle! I've had mine for a few years ago along with several cans of the CMP ammo to feed it.

That's the best way to deal with the ATF process. File, pay and forget about it until time to pick it up.

I hate it when that happens!

My ATF Form 4 was approved in 366 days and received by the dealer in 380 days.

I would also add that the poor visibility at the bottom of the lake made recovery of guns and boat impossible. Not having a list of serial numbers or insurance, there was no reason to report the loss at that time. This resulted in my total loss of memory and transformation to a liberal. BTW, wasn't there once something that protected one's Right to own firearms?

States Recognizing TN Permits (Reciprocity) With Links
tnhawk replied to JohnC's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Several states have chose to not recognize my TN permit. I have chosen to not recognize those states. -
The staff at Royal Range were helpful in making the process as of dealing the ATF as painless as possible. The only thing they couldn't help with, was patience.

My silencer finally got out of ATF jail today after 380 days!

My wife doesn't know how many guns I have(had before the unfortunate incident). I sure aint going to tell someone in new york! BTW, I lost the boat too.
