  1. Looks like she tried to beat the stupid out of him. Good for her.
  2. How about two Beretta Elites... ...or two Ruger SR9s?
  3. Thanks guys. You've given some options to consider. Will the 1/4" inlet/outlets give me enough flow? Part of the reason I was considering the secondary tank was so I could run 3/8" or larger airline split to power two pair of air horns. I found a Viair regulator rated at 200 PSI with a 0-220 PSI gauge that may do the trick if 1/4" will give me enough flow. http://www.viaircorp.com/product/pressure-regulator/
  4. I'm just running two tanks. A 12 gallon & a 1 1/2 gallon. I was wondering if there was a special type of regulator that has to be used or will a standard tool regulator work. My local Tractor Supply has an adjustable Campbell Hausfeld air tool regulator for under $30. I may give it a try. I'm probably overthinking it, but I want to get it right the first time.
  5. I have a air ride project using two air tanks & I need to regulate the PSI in the second one. I'm running nitrogen now, but cylinders don't last long so I'm in the process of switching to compressors for better reliability. The first tank will control the air ride system. It's 12 gallons & will be kept at 180-200 PSI using two high output 12 volt compressors. That part of the system is no problem. Here's where I could use some advice. I have a small 1 1/2 gallon air tank I would like to "tie in" down stream & keep around 125 PSI to run two sets of air horns, tire filling, etc... & need an adjustable regulator that will automatically maintain the small tank's pressure when used. (The same way oxygen/gas regulators work.) Will a standard in line adjustable tool regulator available at Tractor Supply, Sears, or hardware store work or do I need something special? I'd really like to avoid having to spend big money on a third compressor for the 1 1/2 gallon tank. Thanks.
  6. Very nice herd of Rugers Zoidmeister.
  7. Thanks for the responses. Glad to hear some good reviews on the P89. Since I took the photos I've installed a trigger from a P95 & plan to try some Wolff springs to tune it a bit. I also polished the pivot points when I installed the P95 trigger & it's a lot smoother than when I first got it. When I get time I'll make a custom leather holster for it.
  8. Ebay & most gun shops sell them, but they run around $17 a piece. I bought two of the adapters from Cheaper Than Dirt last week. They were running a "$15 off any order" special the whole month of January so I ended up paying $13.00 including shipping for both of them. Be sure to check for sales before ordering. They run online coupons & promo codes all the time. I forgot to mention that I have a Beretta brand SRT installed in my compact, but am thinking of getting a Taurus trigger. I had a stainless Taurus trigger in a 92FS Inox I used to own. Taurus triggers shorten the trigger length just as much as a Beretta or Wilson SRT, but are available in stainless to match the inox finish. The Taurus has more of a curved shape than Beretta's SRT, though.
  9. I recently picked this one up on a trade. A Beretta M9A1 Compact L Inox. Mods include full inox controls, Elite II hammer, oversized mag release, solid stainless guide rod, front sight was drilled & red fiber optic installed, Novak rear sight, X-grip adapter w/18+1 Mec-Gar mag, Elite II barrel crown, short reach trigger, & I had the barrel shortened to fit flush with the slide.
  10. I was working for Sears at their West Town Mall, Knoxville location back in 2000 when they announced at the morning meeting that they were buying Kmart. All the employees thought it was a bad joke. Shortly after, Sears started selling a whole new line of "price friendly" tools. They were the same junk Kmart carried with a different package or label. It's been a downhill slide ever since. Kmart is having a ton of clearance sales in most of their stores & will shortly file bankruptcy & Sears may not be far behind.
  11. It's a terrible situation all around. The news just reported 11 confirmed dead. My prayers go out to all the families.
  12. We got a call today from a cousin who had a condo above Gatlinburg & lost everything in the fires. Everything was insured & will be replaced, but it looks like it will be a slow process, At our weekly Boy Scout meeting tonight, one of the mothers said they were about 75% into construction of a vacation house in the Gatlinburg area & just found out it burned to the ground today. The worst part is they had no insurance because inspections & construction wasn't complete yet.
  13. Hopefully this link will help you find an answer. https://www.tn.gov/tbi/article/firearm-background-checks-faqs Do you have a new TN DL yet? How long have you been a resident back in TN? Best of luck. I hope your get it worked out soon.
  14. Try this link... http://www.berettasupport.com/applications/tech_data/schematics_search_new.htm
  15. Was it a factory tag or a tag added by the gun shop? Go to Berettausa.com. There's a section to type your serial number in & find out a lot about your pistol including manufacture date. If it has a special finish their site should tell you about it. This weekend I'm finally going to get in some more range time with one of my toys. A Beretta 92G Elite with a SGS style compensator made by "Ric" on the Beretta forum. This pistol makes +P feel like high velocity .22lr.
  16. Have you ever shot a 92/96 series with a factory "D" model hammer spring installed? A quick $5 drop-in mod that will instantly lower your DA trigger by around 4 lbs, dropping it from the 10-11 lb range down to around 7 lbs while keeping the pistol 100% reliable. Of course they make "D" springs for the Cougar series as well, giving them about a 2-3 lb pull weight reduction. I have D springs installed in every Beretta I own along with a good polishing of all internal moving parts including the hammer, sear, & trigger. These firearms have a lot of performance potential.
  17. Believe it or not I've never shot one. A few years ago I had a P95DC & sold it before I ever had the chance to take it to the range. My brother & his family are driving down from Indiana next week for Thanksgiving & we're planning a day at the range. I have several pistols that I've owned for years & never shot & that's going to have to change. My cousin is a TN Highway Patrol officer & we're dragging him along as well. He only owns Glock & has been dying to try out some of my Berettas. Of course the P89 is going to get a work out too.
  18. I just modified & installed a Ruger P95 trigger in my P89. The trigger's a little smoother now & is a much shorter reach than the stock trigger.
  19. Nice! I like the look of the straight dust cover models. Sadly, I'm down to six Berettas now. (The Beretta Cougars are my favorite series though) Don't let the number of parts hold you back. These are extremely easy to work on & modify & will digest any ammo you feed them. They're tough as nails too. Odds are you'll never have to repair yours, but if you ever do, parts are cheap & easy to find.
  20. I wonder if this means Walmart will start selling "evil black rifles" & hunting ammo again? Our local WM doesn't sell anything, but .22 rifles now. They still sell shotgun & pistol ammunition, but not .223, .308, 30-30, or 30-06. I'd also like to get my hands on a Beretta CX4 Storm or ARX 160 someday.
  21. My local GS pulls stunts like this. They take the extra factory mags that come with every handgun & then sell them separately for full retail. Every handgun they sell only includes one magazine so they have shelves full of Glock, Beretta, & S&W mags in zip lock bags they push on people. They do this with factory handgun hard cases too. Despicable way to do business! Tell your friend that I'll gladly give him some info on how to recognize & avoid scams...for $19.95 + S&H.
  22. My wife & I usually drink wine with dinner a few times a month. We don't drink strong spirits often, but when we do it's usually Grand Marnier or Capt. Morgan Private Stock over ice. If it's just me I like Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal. My most treasured spirit is a rare bottle of Clandestine Absinthe bottled that I've had since 2006. It's a beautiful Swiss La Bleu with only 1001 bottles of this first batch produced worldwide. It's been a few years since I had the chance to enjoy authentic absinthe (No matter what you've been told, the crap they sell here in the U.S. isn't true absinthe.) & I've been waiting for a special occasion to open it, but so far it sits collecting dust. http://www.alandia.de/absinthe-la-clandestine-first-batch.html
  23. My wife & I voted last week. No use waiting until the last minute & having to stand in line for hours.
