Been thinking more and more about getting a couple cameras. At this point I think I want cloud recording so I don't have to mess with DVR and such.

Been shopping for one for several years. Just had other financial priorities unfortunately. True, but it would not have been nearly as fast without the regulation changes. But again, if folks would actually bother to read beyond the sensational headlines, you might learn that this only applies to new stoves. "The man" isn't going to come take your old one. It also won't affect buying a used one.

If you don't mind the tourist traffic, its a really nice place. Traffic is horrendous at specific times. Plenty of outdoor recreation opportunities, if that's your thing.

You're the only one that will notice the color difference. I've got an antique china cabinet (family heirloom), antique buffet (wife bought it), kitchen table and chairs (gift from old neighbor), and book case (bought it) all sitting within a few feet of one another on a wood floor (came with the house). None of them are exactly the same color. No one cares. Given that they're probably all made from different types of wood, even stripping and re-staining them isn't likely to yield perfectly matching colors. Different woods absorb stain differently. Heck, different pieces of wood from the same tree don't always come out the same color.

Typical fear mongering. :shake: Existing units will be grandfathered in, just like the last few times they updated the regulations. The new regulations will cause investment in developing the stoves and improvements in the performance and efficiency, just like the last time they updated the regulations. Think things like modern clean burning, high efficiency stoves were developed due to consumer demand? Think again. https://www.chimneysweeponline.com/hoepareg.htm

New (sort of) member from the Mid-Tenn area

Welcome back (sort of). :) -
I'm a bit surprised a .22 pistol would set it off. I've always been under the impression that it took a high powered rifle.

Cool, welcome to the club! Just remember that you're invisible and everyone is trying to kill you and you'll be fine.

It's gonna be in the 40's again next week. No need to rush. If you can't get just the clutch from the parts store, get one at pull-a-part.

Yep. While you've got it out, send it off to Kivarri. You'll be amazed at the results. http://www.kivaari.com/SKS%20Target%20Match.htm

Here's a thread on the Rustoleum stuff from a while back... http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/71416-rustoleum-deck-coating/

My 3 yr old slept right through it all, but my 6 yr old joined us in bed. Makes for a long night and even longer next day. :-\ We had a few good cracks of thunder and the usual wind/rain but nothing extraordinary. Though on my drive to work this morning I noticed a fair bit of localized flooding (creek WAY over its banks). It must have rained a lot.

So they can see the teeth when rigormortis sets in without having to pry the jaws open. -
Fishing season is near. Help keep the waters CLEAN.
peejman replied to TnShooter83's topic in Hunting and Fishing
I've always done something similar when hiking. I keep a couple walmart bags in my pack specifically for picking up trash. Now that the boys like fishing, guess I should add a couple I the tackle box too. People who think the world is their personal garbage can disgust me. -
Found Coyote Dead, NOT TORTURED. SIMPLE TAGGING OF GAME

So what exactly are you trying to say? :) -
That reminds me that you might try food that's heavy in fish oil or some sort of fish oil pills or something along those lines. Fish oil is supposed to be good for a dog's coat.

Bassmasters is catch and release. -
A friend had Golden Retrievers with allergies. They gave them Claratin and it worked great. You might also try some of the various oatmeal baths to try and sooth the skin. The brushing may be making it worse.

Nice work! Can you give some perspective on size?

The drill battery is disconnected. He's spinning the drill motor by hand and using the DC current that's generated to charge the phone. It's just like the old starter/generators that cars used to have. Apply current and it starts the engine. Once the engine is running, it generates current to recharge the battery. That said... a solar charger would be much easier, assuming you have access to sunlight.

I prefer DST. If we were to stop doing DST, the "standard work day" needs to change from 8-5 to 6:30-3:30. That's another reason why I hate winter... I go to work in the dark and I come home in the dark.

I too have been "sharpening challenged" for a long time. I finally bought a Smith's system and with some practice, now feel fairly confident in my ability to get a knife shaving sharp. That's a pretty good feeling. :) As for stropping, it depends on how far you want to go. I found that it makes a difference, but I don't have the ultra fine stones in my kit. Stropping does give it that shiny, mirror-like appearance that you see in pictures, which is pretty cool.
