  1.   I like how all 3 guys are swaying with the one who's swinging the hammer.  Given all the camera's around, I'd say that was staged (and poorly planned).   Looks like a steel security door in a steel frame.  They would've gotten in faster just going through the wall.
  2.     Ouch.  Just when you think your job sucks...   My first (and only) line of defense for water loss is my water heater.  But if the supply got contaminated like it did in WV, I'd be digging a solar still in the back yard.  I need to put a couple big water containers on my list.
  3. Yep.  3 deg here this morning.  I took a snow day from work yesterday and played with the kiddos.  While that was great fun, that's about enough of this single digit cold crap.
  4. I'd still have a "plan b".
  5. While I find a tomahawk as cool as the next guy, am I the only one that thinks a hatchet would be far more useful? Seems like the hammer end of the hatchet be a lot handier than the pike. That and I'd probably impale myself on it.
  6. Water line freeze and break?
  7. The only problem with meth is that it doesn't kill people fast enough. I hope things get sorted quickly.
  8. You know a company is bad when they have to change their name to stay in business.
  9. A good idea, but I suspect that in that scenario, sharing isn't going to be a real popular idea.
  10. Mmmmmm..... Stuffed mushrooms. One of my favorite treats. Now I have to put mushrooms on the grocery list.
  11. I started a beard before Christmas and have been looking for some beard oil to help with dry skin. Is that stuff sold in stores, or just online? My wife actually likes the beard.
  12. It was 28 deg outside for the shooting portion of my permit class. The girl that shot next to me had her Sig go bang, bang, click repeatedly. The instructor that stripped it said it was massively over lubricated and the oil had gelled in the cold. The instructors made several comments about how all the high dollar pistols quit working in the cold while the cheap ones ran fine. The tight fits and tolerances are great until it gets cold. Add in way too much lubricant and you have a very expensive hammer.
  13. If the fumes were that strong, you'd be dead before the gun was clean.
  14. About 4" here as well. That's a guess because at 2 deg, it's too dang cold to go out there and measure.
  15. I was thinking of some quality time with their new best friends first.
  16. My understanding is child molesters are among the lowest scum in prison and are treated appropriately. So there is hope.
  17. 2-3 and counting here in south Maryville. Hope everyone here avoided the pileups on the roads. Saw a few cars in the ditch on my way home.
  18. Seems your better off parting it out. A whole rifle rarely equals the sum of its parts.
  19. Every time I've tried to use a recipe for salsa, I didn't like it.  The recipe is more like guidelines... adjust everything to suit your taste.  Note that if you use hot peppers, they tend to get hotter after a few days in the mix.
  20. Threw them in the river my arse.  Criminals may be dumb, but they're not that dumb.
  21. I've wanted to get into archery for a while as well.  Seems like a good skill to learn and something I can do in the back yard. I keep looking for a deal on a bow to come across the classifieds here.  I saw one a while back, but didn't' have the cash at that moment.
  22. A friend of mine met Billy at an airport counter many years ago.  ZZ was in town and he was shipping a couple cases of local beer back to himself.  My friend was in line behind him shipping a car part to Detroit and had no idea the short scruffy looking guy in from of him was Billy Gibbons.  At one point, the box (about 5 ft long and 8" square) slipped in my friend's hands and it hit Billy in the back.  When my friend got to the clerk, she was completely flustered, giddy, and just staring that the two tickets and backstage passes he'd put on the counter.  :stunned:   My friend was hence forth known as the guy who bonked Billy Gibbons in the back of the head with a steering gear.
  23.     Does the pot not have some sort of thermostat, or is it on/off only?    And yes, you'd need a k-type thermocouple to read the high temps.  As for calibration... buy a calibrated TC that comes with an error table.  We have piles of them at work for use in our vacuum furnaces up to 2500 deg F.    http://www.amazon.com/Hanna-Instruments-Waterproof-Thermocouple-Thermometer/dp/B0085X6JA4
  24.     Has the incidence of autism increased or has the rate of diagnosis increased?
  25.     Get a multi-meter with thermocouple capability.   http://www.amazon.com/AGPtek-Channel-Digital-Thermometer-Thermocouple/dp/B0084JQL1Q/ref=pd_sim_sbs_indust_1     The above should work the same in the lead cauldron.
