Salvage yard coyote motor for the stang? There's usually plenty of wrecked late model mustangs to choose from.

I met Johnny Cash in 1979 while attending NSTI.

June came into a garden center in Kingsport where my wife worked years ago. She bought some flowers and was very pleasant. John stayed in the truck and smiled when my wife nearly fell over herself when she recognized him. -
I agree with this. Two legged critters are more likely to cause a problem than 4 legged critters. You need a rifle for the big 4 legged ones.

Yep. If there are 45k unserialized guns being used in crimes, how many serialized guns are used? Of those, how many were legally purchased by the perp and how many were stolen?

Yep. People who rob gun shops when they're open aren't afraid to get shot. Prayers for that guy and what's left of his family. -
Welcome!

The low cost further makes me think MIM. Good luck with the rebuild. Setting cam timing on a desmo isn't high on my list of fun things to do on a Saturday.
-
My best guess is it's MIM. The holes are too clean to be as-cast and it clearly isn't forged. The blue color pattern suggests they surface hardened the teeth. I'm not sure about the brown toward the center unless that's dirt or oil staining, though I don't think that's an oil wetted area? Belt dust? Maybe a fit mismatch and the bolt got over-tightened when installed and caused it to split. It doesn't appear to have spent any time running while cracked before it failed, it just popped all at once. Does a magnet stick to it? Does it feel inordinately light for its size? Being a race bike, shaving every ounce of rotating mass is high on the list.

PMS... parked motorcycle syndrome. Post up a pic of the fracture surface. From what I see in the other pic, it looks like it may have been cracked for a while. A cast pulley seems an odd choice, or perhaps it's MIM.

Isn't that citizen vs subject?

I will. Tomorrow. -
I emptied my compost bin on my beds and turned them today. I'll till them in a couple weeks. My wife has lots of seedlings going. She transferred a bunch of peppers and tomatoes from the seed starter to solo cups today as well.

Age required to buy a C&R firearm
peejman replied to jeff43's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
I'm not aware that C&R status has any effect on age restrictions. -
Frank and Bob wondered why they were an inch shorter the next day.

If you've a small garden, just get corn from the local farmer's market and use the space for other stuff. Corn severely depletes the soil and takes lots of amendments to grow well, which could be why your field isn't especially fertile. As for weeding..... get a good hoe, keep it sharp, and plan to use it 2-4x weekly. I agree that a 5 gal bucket is a bit small for tomatoes. I tried that with some extra seedlings a few years ago and couldn't keep them alive to the point of ripe fruit. They'll need attention almost every day.
