I can understand a domesticated pig learning that you're carrying food and trying to get it. A feral pig going after a random person just strikes me as very strange. Maybe it was a domestic pig that got loose and went feral? Pigs are a major problem in Texas, maybe they're running out of food?

I've done that several times in the past. I've got a piece of stainless pipe to cut the core out. I cut 1-2" off the end of the core and save them to plug the ends. Then I take the rest of the core and put it in the food processor with whatever goodness I desire.... bbq sauce, cheese, spices, etc. Then I fix one end plug in place with toothpicks and pack as much of the mixture back in the bologna as will fit. I plug the other end and toss it on the smoker. If there's core mixture left over, it goes in the frying pan and makes a good snack while the smoker does it's thing. The bologna may get rotated periodically while on the smoker, depending on what I used for stuffing. All that said, it was pouring rain and I just didn't feel like putting forth that effort. And my kids prefer it plain. YMMV.

My Dad is 73 and we had the will discussion last week. He's got a modest collection. There's a few I have little interest in, but most have high intrinsic value to me and I look forward to enjoying them with my boys. He's also considering selling his motorcycle due to his knees. Not riding it has ruined the fuel system so it's languishing in his garage at the moment.

I smoked our thanksgiving turkey, a pork loin and 3 bolognas in the pouring rain Saturday. It went fine with the exception of dealing with the rain. The pork loin in particular was melt-in-your-mouth tender. These photos are from a year or 2 ago, but saturdays versions look the same. When we got home from church Sunday afternoon, my oldest said that it still smelled like smoked meat in the house. Yeah, ain't it great?

I doubt she'll have admissions issues, they're happy to take your money. It's a big school so it's easy to get lost in the crowd. Not doing so is entirely up to her. What's her major?

Clearly that's wrong. My insurance has gone up way more than 8-11% in 10 years. Unless that's 8-11% per year... that's closer to reality. Having looked, mypremiums have roughly doubled in 10 years. And the population has increased at a rate of approximately 2M people per year over the last decade, so 2M additional uninsured is probably pretty good as that's only 10% of the total.

You don't quit riding because you get old, you get old because you quit riding. There's lots of bikes easier to handle than a big Harley, and they're just as fun.

True, Ford recommended tire pressures lower than Firestone designed for. Vehicle owners never checked their tire pressures as stated in the owners manual, and let them fall below the already low spec. Then they drove at high speeds with heavy loads, a recipe for blow outs. Is it unreasonable to expect a driver to follow the owners manual? The courts said it was, hence TPMS and all the other nannies that make modern cars so expensive. Is it unreasonable to expect a cup of coffee to be hot? 190F is a normal temp for fresh brewed coffee and has been for 200 years. Did the cup not say "caution, contents may be hot"? Why would you pick up and try to drink from a cup that was so hot it was burning your fingertips, while driving? I don't mean to marginalize the injuries and deaths that occurred, but to absolve the people involved and hold the corporations solely responsible is, to me, absurd.

Defective product or defective user? That doesn't seem to matter.

I don't see that it has much of anything to do with the 2nd Amendment. It's a product liability issue. Our legal system has decided that it's ok to sue the manufacturer of an item when someone gets hurt using it in a way neither endorsed nor intended.... "reasonably foreseeable misuse". People sued Ford and Firestone when their grossly under inflated tires blew out. People sued McD's after spilling hot coffee on themselves. Ad nauseum... It can't be an individual's fault because that implies some level of personal responsibility for one's actions. It's much easier to assign fault to the faceless corporation. And they usually have more money to pay out.
