  1. Bought mine nearly 30 years ago and it still runs like a sawing machine. And yes, I carry it almost daily.
  2. Your first must be a 45. 230 grain vs 115 grain. After seeing a tweeker shot 4 times with a 9mm and still on his feet. 1 shot with the 45 and he was flat on his back. The 45 wins every time.
  3. What a tease. You can’t just throw them out there without a hint of a price. There are a couple I would be interested in. Thanks
  4. Emotions are definitely running high on both sides and make no mistake Memphis is soooo divided. I grew up in Memphis and at 65 I can tell you it isn’t the Memphis I grew up in. I live in a suburb and still don’t leave my house without being armed. IMHO if Memphis were to burn to the ground it would be a hell of a start to turning Memphis back into the city it once was. Memphis won national city beautiful awards for four straight years. Don’t ask me when, you can look it up. What a difference 30 years makes. Even driving through on the interstate is a very risky proposition. Memphis is number 1 nationwide in murder rate. Doesn’t that just warm your heart.
  5. My 65 year old eyes have a problem with quickly picking up these sights. I’m sorry but these on a revolver looks like a bugger on a windshield with wipers on high. I’m not really subject to change. I’m still carrying the same bone stock Sig P220 in 45 since 1986.
  6. They support the second amendment but not the fourth. Sounds like the owner or employees need a civic lesson. Stand them up. Then tell them to pound sand on the purchase.
  7. Damn that’s nice. Welcome to the addiction. Try not to buy more than one per year. Good luck.
  8. This should be gone in another 30 minutes. I love mine.
  9. Sweet. My first shogun was a Ted Williams model 200 ( Winchester 1200 ) with a “ dial-a-duck “ choke. It wasn’t too pretty but it killed a ton of ducks.
  10. I have the 550 and 650 and can attest they are awesome machines. If I didn’t have mine , I would buy these in a heartbeat. What he’s asking is a great deal and so is Jeff to work with. If these don’t sell soon I’ll probably do something stupid.
  11. The LumiNox is my daily go to. Does anyone have an idea what the Rolex is. I was t9ld it was a POW model but haven’t been able to confirm that.
  12. I am proud for you. I still have my grandfathers Remington 550-1 that I shoot regularly. I’ll be passing it to my grandson soon. I’m now 65 with 6 grandchildren and one great grand son. I know we started early. I enjoy watching my grandchildren use firearms and equipment I’ve passed down to them. And that SIL sounds like a keeper!
  13. Wow. Four years Older than me and absolutely gorgeous. Ok youngins this is what a real rifle is supposed to look like. You may have to explain that scope base to some, not me but some. If I knew my wife of 38 years wouldn’t shoot me it would have a new home. This is like finding a split window Corvette with 200 miles on it.
  14. Now that’s a plan. I’m 65 in the same situation. But having owned a gun shop I’m in a little deeper and dumber than most. I’m gonna start working this plan. Thanks!
  15. Looks great Bigun. Your grandkids made that gun worth 10x more than before. I love my little 22 Hornet. Merry Christmas
  16. As usual, I got a sweater. I wanted a moaner or screamer but no, I get a sweater.
  17. OK, I’m 65 with dyslexia. I was looking for pictures of the damn dog. Merry Christmas

    Remington 700

Great rifles. I have several but don’t own a 270. My granddaughter killed two doe with hers last year. The best part is they were standing side by side and she killed them with one shot. To say it’s plenty to kill whitetail is an understatement. Merry Christmas
  19. I bet he could tell you what color you’re supposed to paint the block of an old school Chevy engine build.
  20. Land of the free. They take it for free. Maybe it’s time we got back to “home of the Brave.”
  21. No such thing as a retired Marine. Welcome aboard. (USAF)
  22. I’m with you brother. My grandfather saw to it that we knew about guns and gun safety at an early age. When polymer firearms came on the scene I resisted. My firearms had to be walnut stocked and blued metal. I didn’t own an AR or Glock for many years. After a little time in Uncle Sam’s Boy Scouts, I had to have one. I still favor my Sigs over my Glocks.
