Hi there everyone. I'm just a regular guy living in Middle TN. Then one day about 3 years ago it hit me that there are a variety of situations, disasters, or economic/political issues that might, at the least, put stress and hardship on me and my family or even worse threaten our lives. I don't know what, if anything, will happen. Hopefully all my efforts will go unused my entire life. If so, it means everything was blissfully boring.

 

However, if things take a turn for the worse I like to think I have a few preparations in place to at least make our lives a little easier. Of course, one part of that involves firearms and training which brought me here. I hope to find a local community of people who will offer to exchange their knowledge about firearms as well as some of their actual firearms! :dirty:

It will save you a lot of money if you USE your prep gear and replace it as you go.   Rather than find yourself facing zombies with 15 year old granola bars and expired asprin, for example, use it, buy a new one, and "rotate the stock".

Welcome to TGO...  I look at prepping as if it were insurance, may never need it, but man it sure is nice should the situation ever arise.

 

plus one.  one should never get themself or their family in a mess.  it don't take must to be ready/set for when bad things happen.
