Bothers me that they refered to it as an "assault rifle". Unless it's fully automatic it's not an assault rifle, it's a semi auto rifle.

 

Sorry to get all pedantic here (not really, it's a bad habit I enjoy indulging), but regardless of it's cyclic rate, it would be a battle rifle, as it's chambered in .30 caliber.  I believe an assault rifle has to be a) capable of select-fire and b) chambered in an intermediate cartridge, e.g. 7.62x39, 5.56x45, or 5.45x39.

Someone in tricities has a Cobb in 30/06 they used to shoot at Cherokee (haven't seen it in a long time). A LGS also had a Cobb in .308 for sale a few months back. Nice rifles think they are out of business now though maybe.
