I was surfing the interweb and of course ended up ordering another knife. My wife may kill me, but I had to jump. A certain knife retailer located in the East TN area (not sure if I'm supposed to say the name or not) has the Mantis Kunitza for $27.88 right now. No, that's not a typo... These knives MSRP for $200 and sell for over $100. I have no idea why they have them for so cheap, but I had to take advantage!

We'll see if I get mine.  Went to the site, added it to the cart, and checked out.  When I clicked finalize order it went back to the page and said out of stock, but I received my paypal confirmation so we'll see.

Of course if it is a typo then they will just refund orders and say item no longer available.

It seems a typo to me, seeing as how :

Old Price $154.99

Now Only $27.88

Looks like it was meant to be $127.88

 

It's happened before with other merchants.

If anyone gets theirs please share the news!

 

I once found some nice Skagen carbon fiber watches that were listed for $27, when they go for $175. I ordered 10 of them. Ended up not getting any, never charged, but not too peeved, can't blame a guy for trying.

Yeah I figure worst case scenario they realize their mistake and I don't get the knife. But it's worth a shot on the off chance it's legit. Nothing ventured, nothing gained...

When I clicked to order it, it showed the previous price to be $99 in the cart. Although, like you said, it showed a previous price of $154.99 on the main ad.

Just got my 2. These suckers are huge. Seems to need disassembly and proper lubing or adjustment or something because the action is pretty horrible, stiff and kind of gritty. Can't flip it open at all even with the most vigorous attempts, either using thumbhole or flipper.

Definitely not worth the listed $150+ price in terms of initial out-of-the-box quality, in my opinion. Curious how it compares to the ones the others of you have got.

Is it possible these are fakes? The boxes don't have hologram stickers like they should, and I find it hard to believe they would be so stiff at their suggested price point.
