The pill billies will figure a way around it. Watch and see.

National geographic channel which on my cable is channel 109 at 9 e-8c. It is called Hillbilly Heroin and is on Southern Justice as a special tonight on this subject and it appears they already have DB. They have just taken up to just straight out robbing the pharmacies and they have it all on video and also  how the police here in the south are dealing with it.

I remember when 2 pill billies blew a hole through a pharmacy roof, rappelling down inside, got their dope and left through the roof. Same place former sheriff R headley got nailed at w his 800 tabs for personal use.
Pill billies are as bad as crackheads and methfiends in the end. Anything to chase the high..... Edited by Dustbuster

I was prescibed 7.5 mg lortabs a year or so back for a couple months for knee pain and I could see how someone could get addicted. I am glad I never had the need for them after I ran out. But I did experience the euphoric feeling along with the abilty to concentrate and tons of energy. I am glad I didn't get "hooked" but I do see how easy it would be for some to do so. Short comment. Many pharmacies are now requiring hand written RX, and will not accept phone or fax orders.

Walgreens and Kroger do that to me.

E-prescribe (like SureScripts) is neither, and  both Walgreen and Kroger pharmacies do it. Assuming your doc also does. Most drug plans from insurers use it also, for getting the 90 day supplies by mail.

People are certainly different. When I take the same thing as you the most it does for me is to constipate me and keep me from sleeping. I tend to just tough-out the pain without pills for the most part. That kind of sucks when you've had two back surgeries.

I've had at least a dozen prescriptions for very strong pain medicines and similar drugs over the years. Vicodin, Lortab, Percocet, Valium, numerous muscle relaxers, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, morphine, steroids (pill and injectable), etc. etc. Many times I was prescribed these drugs along with 2-3 other strong drugs in the same class, and since I'm a beer snob I would occasionally even drink a micro brew or two while on these meds.

But in all these years I never once experienced anything pleasant from taking any combination of any of these drugs, other than partial relief of the pain or symptoms they were intended for, and even that was never completely effective. I certainly never experienced any sort of high, euphoria, or "great" pleasing sensations. Many times the really strong medicines made me feel nauseous, light headed, foggy, tired, etc. so it's actually a net bad feeling overall.

So I was never even remotely tempted to keep taking the medicine or get / take more. In fact I have a huge drawer of all my old prescriptions, most of which are at least half full. I keep them on hand in case the condition comes back again later, thus saving me a trip to the doctor in the future.

So I never could understand why anyone would abuse drugs like this, or what they get out of doing so. If I ever wanted to "detach" from the world for a little while, I would probably just go get drunk, but I've only ever enjoyed drinking when I was in a good mood and partying with family or friends, and these days I don't even like to drink too much then, because hangovers are harder when you get older.

Now if they make Sam Adams, Rogue, Wells, Shiner, or other good beers a schedule II then you'd definitely see me bitching, and I'd be taking to the streets if needed for my occasional six pack or sampler case, but thankfully good beer is still legal and freely available. :-)

I was prescribed this once for something, and only took one. It made me sick as the ebola virus. I'd rather hurt. Probably a good thing I didn't like it.
