  1. Past hour
  2. Welcome to the group - Is it funky and cold in Medina?
  3. Looks like a cool radio. I should have also added that I’m not even licensed yet. I’ve gone overboard and already have 8 HTs, from Baofengs to Wouxons to Yaesus. Ever hear about getting the cart before the horse? Ha, that’s me. Radios are a sickness just as bad as guns are! Anyway, I’m still looking at portables, but I hope the next one I buy is a decent dual band mobile/base, but even with that I’m not seriously looking until I get my Technician license. I have some books and study software and just need to buckle down and study. There’s a ham event in Lebanon next month and I want to be licensed by then, if I can do this. I’m over 70, and find that I don’t grasp some of the technical stuff and definitely not the math at my age. I’m retired now and need to spend more time studying instead of reading about radios!
  4. Today
  5. I have an M P EZ 9 MM single stack 4" compact. I like it but it needs to be gripped tight. If you limp wrist it, the spring is so soft it will not cycle properly. The pistol has never done it on me, but I recently had a 15 YO kid shooting it and it did it once on him. I was watching and he did not have a firm grip on it. I told him to adjust his grip, and the M P never failed again. It was his first time shooting and he was a tad bit recoil shy. He adjusted. The EZ is a tad bit easier to cycle the slide. I purchased it because of that and Arthurites in my hands. I have 2 other MP 9 MM C 2.0s that are double stacked. I am a fan of M Ps. They are my Fantastic Plastic EDC when I carry IWB. I do think they need a better trigger. IMO, the triggers are just adequate. Edited to add content.
  6. Might check out this one at half the price. Anytone AT-D878UVII-Plus I have the previous "non II" version. AFAIK, it lacks the capability of operating in tandem with a PC .. only programs with one.
  7. It just dawned on me.... I like the son's SW M&P EZ 380. They are an internal hammer pistola. The downside is that they are a bit large. About like a Walther PP. They will pocket carry if your pockets are big enough. I've got his brother in 9 mm. I like him a lot. leroy.
  8. Ahhhhh crap..... I should NOT be allowed on Facebook Marketplace.
  9. Just a WAG, not .458 SOCOM.
  10. When I hear those words, I reply with, " I freaking hope so"
  11. Only 7 spots left in the rifle class.
  12. Hey man, PM me. I love the .40 and will be out east this weekend.
  13. Aw man I hate I'm just now seeing this. Will PM you.
