  5. Unless something has changed lately, I believe, you can transfer a long gun across state lines. You can’t transfer a handgun without involving an FFL. Please let me know if this has changed.
  6. If he is a resident of a different state than you, he will have to transfer through an FFL with a 4473 completed. Whether a sale or gift is immaterial. It’s the interstate transfer that’s the key point.
  7. So, my nephew is coming to visit from out of state. He'd like to aquire a long gun I've had for a while. It's legal for him to own in his home state. Can he legally aquire this gift from me and take it home? I know if he was buying it from a local shop they'd have to do a 4473 prior to sale. I'm not an ffl, he's not buying it. What says the hive mind?
  8. Uncle Joe left a few bullets in Afghanistan, where are they now?
  9. I agree. My closest steel is about 30 feet but to make it as safe as possible, besides the tilting and swinging my shooting deck is about 4 feet above the close target. Other targets are on a hill side so are eventually at the same hight or even higher but still at an angle and swinging. So far I haven't had a problem. I find paper pretty boring after shooting steel most of the time.
  10. Yes, I apologize. Totally missed your post. I do still have it.
  11. Teds in Columbia had some a bit back. https://www.tedssportinggoods.com/
  12. I have went Autozone the last few batteries. There top of the line seem to last beyond the guarantee and they install them while you wait and save me the trouble.
  13. My Wife planted a few little things. All I got out was Egyptian Wheat and a bunch of milk weed. I have enough hemlock that you'd think I planted it.
  14. Finally got it in the ground today.
  15. Well I picked up the x ultra 4 mid boots. Really comfortable new. I've got to put some miles in before June 10. I've got a week of hiking and kayaking coming. Thanks everyone.
  16. Hey guys, do you know where I can get some black powder my best friend has gotten into Flintlock and he can’t find it anywhere
  17. Safety Reminder for Buyers and Sellers This is an automatic reply meant to protect you as a buyer and a seller on TGO. Use the Buyer/Seller Feedback feature to research who you are dealing with. Please come back and leave feedback for each other after the transaction is complete. Your experience will help others. Never agree to use an electronic form of payment to buy or sell a gun! None of the electronic payment services will protect you against fraud in a firearms transaction. They all have terms of service FORBIDDING the use of their services to buy/sell guns. DON'T DO IT. Be very wary of anyone who insists on brokering a deal in private or outside of TGO. Scammers almost always prefer to operate out of the public eye. The complete Trading Post Rules and also some more helpful suggestions can be found by clicking this link. Everyone should read them at least once! ~~~ This was an automatic reply ~~~
