  1. THIS was reason #1 for me to vote against them. And even with a Trump win I see this as not something that is going away only being delayed until the next election. Sadly many future felons voted their rights away because they don't like how the other guy tweets

  2. I am more concerned about what will happen to the 2A and private ownership of firearms if this goes to Biden than I am about civil unrest. Unless you live somewhere that riots and protests are likely to occur, common sense and avoidance will likely keep you away from that sort of action. But other than exercising civil disobedience and becoming a criminal (on paper), you aren't going to easily "avoid" the sort of anti-2A tyranny that Sniffy Joe and Al Qaeda Harris have officially stated that they will attempt to enact..

  4. I stage ammo. I keep enough ammo in each safe, either in magazines or in boxes for immediate use in the guns stored in each safe. Ammo that will be shot in the next month or so stay in my desk drawers where I load magazines. I have ammo that will be shot in the next year in plastic ammo cans from Harbor Freight in a file cabinet, they stack nicely side by side. I keep the rest of my ammo in large airtight storage boxes with dry packs in each. These last ones only get broken into a couple of times a year to refill supplies or restock with new ammo. Since we have no kids around I don't see a reason to keep all the ammo locked up. If I did feel a need to lock up ammo I would look into the inexpensive Stack-On or other non fireproof key lock storage. Much cheaper than a large gun safe. But a large gun safe is always nice to have, you can move the ammo out as you need the space for other things.

  7. I have three and they all have cool reasons for me to like them, but two are very special to me. #1 is one my Dad gave to me. It’s a Savage 99e chambered in .308 win. It’s been my favorite since I was little and after begging for 30 plus years he finally passed it on to me. #2 is one that was passed to me after my Pappaw passed away in 2001. It’s a Marlin 336 chambered in 30-30. He shot it to sight it in after purchase in IIRC 1974 or 1975, and never shot it again after that. Receipt was still in the case with the rifle and it all looked like it was purchased yesterday. #3 is one I got from my father-in-law a year ago or so. I didn’t even know they existed before he called me. It’s a Ruger 96/22 chambered in .22mag and has a short, smooth action. I mean it is an absolute dream to shoot. It does not have a Volquartsen trigger feel by any means, and is what most would call a heavier trigger pull. But it’s smooth and crisp so I’m happy exactly the way it is. Ive always had a soft spot for lever actions but outside of a .357 or .44 mag lever, I’m extremely happy with what I have acquired and will keep them until I pass them on to my daughter.

  8. No reason at all not keep them in the same safe...but safes only get so big.

  9. https://www.politifact.com/article/2020/nov/01/does-joe-bidens-plan-tax-semi-automatic-firearms/ What Biden’s gun plan says Under Biden’s gun policy, Americans who own assault weapons or high-capacity magazines would have two options: sell them to the federal government through a voluntary buyback program or register them under the National Firearms Act.

  10. I heard from my wife yesterday that Biden plans to tax the crap out of gun-owners. I guess that's much easier than legislation with a conservative SC. We know that Chief Roberts is all about taxes.

  11. Good luck to you both. The safest alternative of course is to not own any and let big brother take care of you. Maybe invest in some knife retardant clothing

  13. M' little cutdown 336 in .44 magnum. This will be the lastest rifle I'll ever part with. I had an octagon barrelled Rossi 92 in .45 colt that I kinda wish I had back.

  14. My Father was a tech sergeant, was at a lot of the famous battles but a day or so later to setup infrastructure. He was an amature photogapher and took hundreds of photos but very few while in Europe, most were when he was in England or in boot camp before shipping over. Growing up and seeing some of these photos and seeing a miniature Minox camera he owned I was sure he must have been a spy in the war.

  15. Well it’s opening tomorrow morning y’all! I’m excited but have to work most of the day. After work I’m going to the taxidermist to pick up this buck in the picture. My buck from last year and personal biggest. I’m excited to climb a tree for sure and wanted to wish everyone luck! Be safe!!! I’ll post a picture of the mount when I get it.

  17. Anther interesting thing that I heard on FOX this morning came from Alveda King (MLK's niece) in Georgia. She said that she witnessed a poll-worker telling people that they didn't have to sign their voter card. Of course, not signing the paper invalidates your vote. She didn't say whether it was being said to all voters, or just one party.
