  1. https://lawselfdefense.org/show-video Andrew Branca break-down of parking lot shooting.......
  2. Try Trulock. They are big on specialty chokes and do a lot of testing.
  3. DAs generally do not file charges for cases unless they think they can get a conviction. HIgh workload and limited resources make it so. Additionally, even under the best of circumstances, an innocent person, according to Branca, has a 10 -20% chance of being convicted by a jury.
  4. There is a difference in 'fear for one's life' vs. Reasonable fear for one's life. SYG only means one does not have to act to leave the area of confrontation. Andrew Branca discusses this in his book, The Law of Self Defense. There is also the principle of Proportionality. Being pushed down does not by itself warrant a shootable offense punishable by death. Without some more convincing evidence, it doesn't appear the act of shooting was reasonable by only the video evidence I have seen.
  5. shield with rebate around $300. for the $ I like the SCCY. double strike, lifetime warranty. Have personal knowledge of at least 8 of them with no complaints.

    Ruger LCP

statiscally one is going to be shooting in self-defense under 5 yds. It is a carry gun. One can carry larger guns for the possibility of longer ranges or higher capacity....neither a bad thing. But for simplicity and convience the LCP leads the way....and it's better than a sharp stick.
  7. yeah, see your point. Only sit out if you voting for someone other than Blackburn. Any other vote or non-vote simply empowers, Maxine, Shumer, and Warren.
  8. and so with all that said.....still voting for Blackburn. Best choice. Sitting out is a terrible option. As mentioned the 'other' side buses people, vote 2 or 3 times, uses dead people, etc. And to be honest, that's a bunch of crap, 'I don't care who you vote for, just vote'. If you are going to vote for a Dem. then please sit it out.
  9. No, I am a PA in Orthopaedics. I treat many foot problems. Shoes are taken for granted. It is all about structure and support, not brand. They all make crappy shoes, and some do make some very good shoes. And they wear out. If you wear them daily they may need to be replaced every 6 months. Most mfg care about fashion/ looks....got to be concerned about function.
  10. As I recommend shoes professionally, brand is generally not a good guideline. How the shoe is constructed is important. Generally a slip-on shoe is not going to be a quality built shoe that is supportive to the foot. If you buy from a knowledgeable outlet, ask for a 'motion-control' shoe. An example would be a 1400 series New Balance. Seldom have I seen a quality Sketcher shoe. As a general rule, people that are on their feet a lot, nurses, cashiers, hair dressers, need a quality shoe. Crocs, flipflops, sandals, chuck taylors, are examples of poor, non-supportive shoes.

    Ruger LCP

I have shot my LCP in a BUG match, 50 rounds. Not that big a deal. Shoot it ocassionaly, but I bought it to carry, not to run a bunch of rounds through. There are guns made for carrying, guns made for shooting. Personally I wouldn't waste any money trying to make a silk purse out of a cow's ear. The nemesis holster or sticky holster are good for pocket carry.
  12. yes, and easy enough to check in state, but if you travel out of state may not be as simple. For those that forget to renew and actually let their permit expire they cannot carry even if renewal process has started until they have a valid permit in hand.
  13. Got enough people complaining about .380. Would really amp up with the .32. I really like the .22 compact for the new shooters. Short step to the .380 when they are ready.
  14. Of course there is a chance that something could occur that holds up your renewal. If that is the case you may find yourself without a permit and unable to carry. So 3months out of 8 yrs may not be such a big rip-off. From a math standpoint you are down $1.56.
  15. https://lawselfdefense.org/show-video start listen at 7:40 regarding opinion on 2nd amendment.
  16. Heller vs. District of Columbia dissenting opinion written by Kavanaugh Long but interesting read which gives an insight of the 2nd Amendment thinking of Kavanaugh http://lawofselfdefense.com/law_case/heller-v-district-of-columbia-670-f-3d-1244-us-app-d-c-2011/
  17. The M&P compact may be what you are looking for. Can swing both ways, open or concealed. I like the 1.0 just fine, but the 2.0 is out now.
  18. What....???? No steering wheel ? Looks like it has everything else.
  19. Simple to remove striker. Clean out. I prefer Hornady Spray cleaner/lube. Pipe cleaners work in the tight space along with Qtip cleaners. https://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video?fr=mcafee&p=how+to+change+striker+in+M%26P#id=1&vid=04fea26ab5e80eea53753433077cc0d1&action=click
  20. midway has CCI shotshell/pistol loads on sale. I can vouch for the 9mm; cycles well.
  21. yes........or the entire gun as long as the recipient can legally possess.
  22. appreciate the reports. I have handled one, but not shot one. Easy to rack the slide, plus easy to load magazine given the small magazine assist to pull the follower down.
  23. Just more good press for the highly trained, dependable, independent FBI.
  24. handled one, haven't shot one. Very easy to work slide. Magazine easy to load. Has spring assist button like the .22mags for easy loading. Almost identical in size to the .22 compact. Like the grip safety and thumb safety. Would imagine it is very light recoil.
