1. I'm a fan of Sog and Leatherman.  I carry the Sog everyday though and have for the past several years, so my vote goes to Sog.  On the flip side though I keep a Leatherman Mut on my work bag, and it's great for gun related tasks.
2. Once you get into explosives it gets real fun. (Ask me how I know)
3. Somebody was bored.
4. I voted FBI HRT rolls in and Dave dies.
5. Beats me. I was just raised to work for what I wanted. Never personally understood the everyone gets a trophy mindset. You lost, you don't get anything, the world is like that. Might suck but that's how it is.
6. Yeah I'm roughly in the same age bracket as you (not quite as old) aND it scares me looking at my generation going head over heels for him.
7. Looks good to me, can't see anything wrong with the design and everything else looks great. A welt is what the sandwiched part is called, at least that's what I've always called it.
8. I think it would be a non issue if he just admitted instead of acting like he's some infallible individual.
9. My ar with red dot is great for shooting small metal plates at relatively close range quickly. It is not good for shooting small metal plates at long range. Point is what you want to do with it dictates what goes on it. The AR is probably one of the few platforms where you almost have too many choices.
10. Can we vote for two depending on intended use?
11. Sounds governmental.
12. Should just buy a Surefire. :duck:
13. Put in the Geissele SSA-E in my ar last night.  Haven't shot it yet but it certainly feels nice dry firing it.
14. Shame, wouldn't mind her or any of the others hanging around.
15. You've been following too many Weapon Outfitters photo shoots  .  Awesome build.
16. Clearly you didn't buy the brand he suggested.
17. Here's one of several I've done like what you describe. It works as a design, several companies make them like that. Not my personal favorite but it does work and makes removing the holster much easier.
18. Answering your SBR question, no, you don't have to file a separate form for it.  Doesn't apply to the full autos. If you're going to get into the 20K range why not look at something like an M16 lower.  I think those are somewhere in that range now.  Plus you could change caliber and upper without issue.
19. Scott and Stonebridge were just too cool with their Glocks to not have one. Same for the G3 aND VZ 58 compacts.
20. That's awesome.  The sound it makes cracks me up though.
21. Ah, see I wasn't aware of that. I've been on BCBS for past 5 plus years at least. Just happened to be looking at all that the other day.
22. The other fun part about these is that they absolutely sling the brass out of the gun.  Mine hits the roof and then lands a minimum of one bench down from me.  It's always funny watching everyone look around wondering where the brass is coming from.
