I was looking for .380 on Saturday and no had that or 9mm. I saw .380 online for $1 a round, as I was looking yesterday and that was for copper HPs by Legend.

Thanks! Lots of good info here!

Bet they do now. I have a friend in Sevier County, that is in the hospital with it. He was diagnosed last week with it, and his wife found him passed out in their bedroom last Monday. He was in ICU for a while, but is doing much better. I didn’t ask if he wore one or not. Wasn’t a concern at the moment. He is still in the hospital.

Personal Self Defense Encounters?
Moped replied to Dennis1209's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
8 years ago my oldest (17 at the time) went to the Old City with two her friends and one of her friend’s mom for dinner. Later that evening, she was ready to come home and called me to come and get her. As I was going out the door, I picked up my Colt Agent .38 and tucked it in the pocket of my hoody. When I got there, I texted her to come to the car. While I was waiting, a gentleman attempted to open the passenger side door, which was locked. He then hit the window with his fist, as I pulled the Colt. As soon as he saw it, he put up his hands and backed up and walked off. My daughter and her two friends, after witnessing all that and walked up to the van. They were smart enough not to get close enough to be involved in the situation. I carry something everyday. It might be a LCP, or a 442 or a PT111 G2, or a XDs .45ACP, but I always have something on my person. -
I picked up a new Tisas B380 (licensed copy of the Beretta 84) from Bill’s Outpost ( great people and a great experience) yesterday and now I’m on the hunt for some SD ammunition. Tell me what you all like!

I’m beginning to see what you all mean about always being able to find .40. I bought a new .380 from Bill’s Outpost in Maryville (great people btw. My first pistol from there and I had a great experience!). Anyway, I spent the next 3 hours looking for more .380 rounds. FINALLY called Harvey’s and they had some target loads for $18 for 50 rounds. But the three places I went to first, had plenty of .40 S&W. I hate you guys.

Knives, axes, cutlery, sharp stuff
Moped replied to JunkiCosmonaut's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I have literally a whole drawer full of knives. They include Kabars, Helle, ESEE, Bokers, Keyshawn’s, Spydercos, Cold Steels, CRKT, Gerbers, Svords etc. I’m 57 years old. I love to camp, hike and kayak. And my two constant companions in the outdoors, the last 5 or 6 years are a Victorinox Deluxe Tinker and a Mora Companion HD. Neither knife costs me more than $25. And the Deluxe Tinker does double duty as my everyday EDC. I also have a Buck 110 that rides in my truck, but it’s not been out in a year or so. -
I believe Knoxville PD is using .45ACP.

I’ll check them out.

Pretty sure the rest of the state is too. I will say that since Knox County imposed the mask rule, a vast majority of folks are abiding by it! That's nice to see. Sevier County worries me. There's a lot of folks coming there for vacation and bring Rona with them. Found out Tuesday evening that my oldest's AAU coach, who works at a shoe store came down with it last week. His wife found him passeed out in the bedroom Monday and called an ambulance to take him to the hospital. He was in a bad way, but had improved when I talked to her Tuesday evening.

Was there a price list and item description posted somewhere?

Knox County added another 124 new cases over the last two day. 34 are now hospitalized with 251 ICU beds being used, which only leaves 21 ICU beds open. 10 people have died due to COVID-19. Based on a note on the website, that I had not noticed before, all the numbers weren't in when this was posted at 10am. Those numbers will be tacked onto tomorrows statistics.

I only wear them indoors. As soon as my largish ass hits the door on my way out, it comes off. I don't like wearing them either, but I see the point. Nor would I wear them working construction or any outside job, unless there was an OSHA requirement for them. I've not been back in the gym since this all started. Today might be a good day to try it out, though.

Yeah, I saw that. I was really hoping to avoid a transfer fee and I wanted to look at the pistols. They are surplus. I'd rather be the one that picks as opposed to paying some one another $25 to hand select out of 10 or so, or for someone to just grab one and send it to me.

Anyone dealt with Robertson Trading Post in Henderson? I noticed on GOA, that they have several pistols I'm possibly interested in. I might be up for a trip to Henderson to check them out. Are they open to the public or doing online ordering only? Are they good people to deal with?

I'm sorry HP! Prayers for your family!

Rest in peace sir!

Knox County added another 93 cases today and one more death, now 9. Hospitalizations remain at 20. ICU Bed Occupancy is still at 89% with 30 beds open. That's 489 new cases in the last week.
-
Exactly!!! Not sure why people aren't getting this.

But, but, Glocks are perfect! Just had to throw that in out there. They are great guns. I own a Gen 2 17. It's my longest owned pistol. Had it since 90'. But just like all the rest of them, they do have issues from time to time.

Been out and about most of the weekend, in both Blount and Knox Counties and for the most part, the Anti-Maskers have been few. Most people are following the rules, as set forth by the health Department. Was in Kroger in Ftn Cty on Friday and only saw 13 people without masks. The store was very crowded. They ranged from children, to the elderly. Today, I went to Sam’s and saw just 6 without masks, including the Deputy they have hired for Security.

Knox County only added 17 new cases as of this morning. Unfortunately the hospitalizations have climbed to 20 and there were 2 more deaths, bring our total to 8.

93 new cases in Knox County today, with 17 hospitalized, still 30 ICU beds available, with an 89% occupancy. 6 dead total.
