  1. I must confess that I don't know all these acronyms y'all are throwing around. Obviously, I know what the NRA, TFA and GOA are, but what is SAF?
  2. Yep. I'm thinking along those lines too.
  3. Y'all left out the Methhead part. You both wrong. No one in East Tennessee knows what a Telephone pole is anymore. We all got cellphones. Now had you said LIGHT Pole, you'd have it. Oh and we allow Electric Poles too. We got to get our power for our TVs, microswaves and satellite dishs from somwhere!
  4. I have a Rossi M92 in .3578 mag with a 16" barrel and I love that little rifle!!! I've also owned a couple of Marlin 30/30s and a Winchester 94 30/30. Loved the Marlins and regreatt trading both of them. The Winchester 94, I didn't like so much. I thought the action was kind of clunky on the one I had. I ended up trading it away on a revolver and I don't regret it at all. The Marlin 336s were both older guns and had very smooth lever throws. The Rossi, I think will become very smooth, given time, but I've not shot it enough yet. But I do love the size and the even more, the price!!!
  5. I’ve been watching a lot of mil surp reviews on Youtube lately, and the reviewers say that exact same thing.
  6. I agree and voted this way. I hope others do too.
  7. But no one is noticing. They wear their masks and go do as they well. Everyone is tired of hearing about it. Fatigue has sit in.
  8. But most people are ignoring the numbers and going about their business, but wearing masks.
  9. Wouldn’t mind buying a Chinese Tok from them, with the trigger safety, but they are pricey, at $350. The Romanian Toks at $219 are the better deal, but they have that damned safety added to the left side.
  10. I think you will be happy! Check with Charter Arms for grips. https://charterfirearms.com/collections/frontpage
  11. Nice set up!
  12. I didn't really get to finish my thought above, last night. Life intruded. The Sheild and the LC9S are the only two smaller autos that I have experience with, that are small AND reliable. I don't have a lot of faith in any smaller 9mm. Plus you're back to 5 rounds, maybe 6. You can spend a bit more on a S&W 360 and have a .357 in a 12 oz package, but I bet that is brutal with full power .357 loads!
  13. I sorta get that. The thing is, it’s hard to find a subcompact 9mm that’s runs as well as a small revolver. I carry my S&W 442 .38spl when I hike. Yeah, it’s a 5 shot, but it weights in at 14 oz. A S&W Sheild and Ruger LC9S both run 17 oz. Of course you get a couple more rounds with that extra weight and they are faster on the reload, but few small autos are as reliable as a revolver, in the woods.
  14. Can’t say I’m shocked. This has been coming for quite sometime.
  15. Beautiful knife! Reminds me of a Sgian-Dubh.
  16. I was doing pretty good about reporting the Knoxville stats, but after a while, it just became numbing. I do what I need to do and no longer worry about it. Just not the way to live life.
  17. Always wanted one, but never ran across a good deal on one.
  18. https://youtu.be/OjkihwNeCqA
  19. No one seems to be in a hurry to snap up this "deal". They still have it in stock.
  20. They are 2oz lighter than my 442, at 12oz. I wonder if they are +P rated? I should have bought a Bulldog decades ago. I had the chance to get one with a 4” barrel. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen another like it.
  21. Honestly, if I were looking at. Charter Arms, right now, I’d be hard pressed not to buy this! https://charterfirearms.com/collections/bulldog/products/34431-44-special-classic-bulldog Ala Son of Sam!
  22. Gotcha! No I couldn’t do that either.
  23. The rest of the year promises to be grim, if those numbers hold up.
  24. Boy I haven’t seen them lately, that cheap! “Commie” guns used to be cheaper than the AR, but that’s not so anymore. I believe the 7.62x39 is more on par with the 30/30 though.
  25. How do you like the .45?
