You have to go with what you like. I have no problem with that. My first semi was a Mini-14, basically because of the looks. I just didn’t have a good experience, especially considering I had more trigger time with M-16s in the military. I really did try to like them, but just came to realize they weren’t for me, for the reasons I stated. At this point in my life, I think I’d take the money I would spend on a Mini and try to find a nice M1 carbine. I might even opt for a new Inland, if I needed to be budget minded. I actually like the .30 carbine round. I think it’s a fun little round and honestly, it’s probably a better SD option than today’s 9mm carbines, though HP ammo is hard to find. But what ammunition isn’t hard to find now-a-days?

My LGS, Cross Roads Firearms, has a new Inland for $799 right now. It's in Knoxville, at 5703 N. Broadway. I will through my 2 cents in on Ruger Mini-14s. I've owned two Ruger Mini-14s. I will not own another. One was a Series 180 and the other a series 181. Neither would hold a group worth a damn, once the barrel heated up. 15 rounds or so. was usually enough. Not even a good mag full. New ones may be better, I don't know. They are pricey too. Mags are outragously expensive. For the money you will spend on a Mini-14, you can go to Palmetto State Armory and buy one of their ARs, plus a bunch of mags and have a much better rifle. Or spend that money on a Ruger AR.

Nicely done! I love the little .32ACP round! Wouldn't mind having one of those little Rossis with that 3" barrel either!

This one had all that too. I have no idea where it all went though. So it didn’t break or anything! Maybe it might earn it’s way into the truck... just not sure I can get past that sheath. You’ve never used a butter knife as a pry bar or a screw driver? And I didn’t refer to this magnificent beast as a pry bar. I called it a light crowbar.

Alright, confession time, who here, has walked into Harbor Freight and saw this knife, for $9.99 and walked out with it? I’m sure there are more than just me. I purchased this some 10 years ago and it’s never been used. I’m sure it would make a fantastic light crowbar. And the sheath must be the crappiest of all time! Anyone that purchased it, actually use it to perform a task of any kind?

He is also getting administered a Regeneron polyclonal antibody cocktail and has been taking zinc, vitamin D, famotidine, melatonin and a daily aspirin.

Are both of these Charter Arms?

I paid $14.99 per box about a month ago. I’d consider that a good price!

I get what you’re saying, but I’m to the point that I just don’t trust any retailers anymore.

I sure as hell wouldn’t be shooting there, if I had to pay for their ammo too!

They seem to have found a niche for their product. A lot of people I know have them. I personally don’t. They survived the bad press early on and continue to roll. I just think Maryville, wasn’t a good fit for them. They should take note of what Taurus did and open a plant up somewhere with a low cost of living and an area needing decent paying jobs. Taurus opened up a new plant in Bainbridge, GA, and are doing well down there.

I'm tapped out till I get this one out of lay-a-way. Thanks though!

Harvey’s Gun &Pawn has a blue Interarms on auction on Facebook, right now. It’s at $545 with 15 hours to go at that price. Comes with two mags. It’s been handled and as some light scratches, but it’s still in very good condition.
-
Interesting. I've seen more 40 S&W on the shelves than most other opoular calibers. I would have thought it was .380ACP.

My family doesn’t even question this anymore.

I watch Harvey's Pistol & Pawn auctions on FB and people are bidding ridiculous prices on there for firearms! Used to be a good place to pick up a deal every once in a while, but not since March. Harvey will even advertise specials on Thursday and put the same gun up for auction that weekend and it the final auction price will be $200 or $300 higher than the special price he advertised in the store. Example. I picked up a brand new Taurus Tracker 357 in Stainless steel for $437, new. I bought that one outright. Same gun on Auction went for over $600 the other day. I just shake my head. People are going to be way upside down on a lot of newly purchased firearms in the coming months, depending on how the election goes.

Yet another reminder of why I carry a pistol with me at all times. I have close family members that just do not get this and thing I'm being paranoid. They think nothing like that is ever going to happen like this, to them or me or my family. I'm sure this couple thought the same thing. Edit: As a matter of fact, I am working from home and I have one on my hip right now.

I can't believe how much these have gone up in price! Last year, you could pick up a 12ga at Bud's for under $250. Right now they are going for over $400!
-
I just might! Definitely going to have to get a shoulder holster for it! Just like Bond!
-
Or is it Gerber Mk I? Pretty sure it is. The guard is the tip-off. The Guardian guard is not that big. The other two are clearly Mk IIs.

I don't know that they will stabilize then. If Biden wins and follows through with his threat to make Beto the Gun Czar, prices are going to continue to rise. I feel we teetered over a precipice and there is no pulling back, that more gun control is coming and may be worse than the 68 gun control legislation. I do not see the Republicans stopping the coming Blue Wave. I'm very pessimistic that the Republicans can hold on to the Senate at this point. I feel the first order of business for the Democrats is to end the COVID nonsense. Followed very shortly by gun control legislation, to include a national registry, assault weapons ban, banning of hi-cap mags and a magazine round cap of 10 and so forth. I believe they will follow the Virginia plan to the tee, with exception that they will not back down one iota and they will ram it through quickly. In short, we are about to see all kinds of turmoil in the industry.

Kinda glad I never bought one now.

I’m guessing this too. We may be in the midst of the great gun panic of all time. 2 boxes of 50 rounds each of Aguila HV .22lr, cost me $18 yesterday. Standard velocity is $6+ a box of 50. Crossroad Guns had quite a bit of it too. I’m starting to shotgun ammunition becoming scarce, too.

Probably not the best time to be buying a 9mm. They can’t keep the ammunition on the shelves. Right now a .40S&W might be a better choice. While not an abundant amount, I’m seeing more of that, than 9mm. I’ve never been impressed with Bud’s accessory inventory in Sevierville. They do have a fine selection of firearms though!
