  1. I’ve been outside for the last two days, helping a friend build wooden fence around her house. I need to go to work tomorrow, just to rest. She worked me like a rented mule! BTW, my commute is hell now. Through the living room, into the hall and down to my wife’s craft room. Working from home definitely has its perks!
  2. Interesting article from Newsweek on paths to temporary Military take over of Federal and Local Governments due to COVID-19 outbreak. https://www.newsweek.com/exclusive-inside-militarys-top-secret-plans-if-coronavirus-cripples-government-1492878
  3. I’m no longer having issues getting to theses site.
  4. Anyone else having issues with news media websites not functioning properly? I suspect so many people are jumping on them trying to find out news that it’s screwing them up.
  5. I heard that too. Possibly on Monday.
  6. I don't think you can get those anymore...
  7. So, let’s say we are able to flatten the curve somewhat. How long before the American population gets restless and begins to question the need to remain semi shutdown? We, the people, have never been known to have a very long attention span.
  8. Yep. It's hell to be young and starting outing in this economy.
  9. I just checked my 401K. Off about 23% since January.
  10. My son and his girlfriend both work at local restaurants here in Knoxville. He has his realty license and is trying to break into that market, but works as a waiter to make ends meet and she is a student. He's restaurant closed down yesterday and she's had her hours cut drastically amd their apartment rent is due at the end of the month. So that $1000 they might each get will be very welcome, both by them and by my wife and I!
  11. So, I can’t change my handle to The Italian Stallion? Even though I’m Italian and a total stud?
  12. Not sure it was mentioned, but Knox County Schools are closed through 4/3. Rumors are circulating that sporting events, proms and graduations may be cancelled. This afternoon, my company told everyone that was capable of working from home, to take their computers, monitors and any other equipment they thought they might need, home, for at least the next two weeks. I expect it to be longer. Nationwide we employee close to 900 people. I suspect about half of them will be working from home.
  13. If you don’t have TP, a wet washcloth will do. Then rinse it out in the sink. Water from the tap is drinkable. BTW, just got a heads up that starting Monday, employees at my place of employment, will be working from home for a period of time.
  14. Those of us that have laptaps, have been told to take them home to tonight and make sure we can VPN in. I don't think my company will send everyone home, but I think the ones that can work from, will be told to either tomorrow or Monday.
  15. I think this would make a dandy truck rifle!
  16. You might look at this, if a .32acp is something you might want to try, I know they are used, but they seems to be really accuate and soft shooting pistols. https://www.classicfirearms.com/beretta-mod-81-pistol-surplus-used-good-very-good/
  17. Also doesn’t match the profile of a MSM Mass Shooter, so the coverage has been lacking.
  18. Yep.
  19. 7 dead, including the gunman, who police said was fired this morning. He returned to the factory and gained access with a stolen ID, this afternoon. Police are saying he used a silenced weapon. https://chicago.cbslocal.com/2020/02/26/at-least-1-person-shot-at-millercoors-campus-in-milwaukee/
  20. Love mine! Nice grips! What are they?
  21. Congratulations!!! When I got the .357 fever a couple of years ago, I ended up buying a Stainless Taurus 627 Tracker. I didn't want to break the bank, and at $482 out the door, Taurus offered the best bang for the dollar. New Rugers were running $150 higher and S&W's started at $700. I just wasn't willing to spend that kind of change on what would primarily be a range and woods gun. I couldn't be happier with my selection. It's ported and therefore soft shooting, though the flash is a big much in lower light.
  22. Beautiful smoke pole! Congratulations!!!
  23. I think I want to join up for The Space Force! Wonder if they take 57 year olds?
  24. Great review! So is it worth the $185, Bud’s wants for the silver one? SMGW also has the bronze one for $179.
  25. I guess this is actually an SBR.
