  1. Nope, the new law requires a different certification, I hear many Docs who formerly did DOT medicals have dropped out due to the new hoops to jump through to get and retain certification under the current requirements.  Just had my medical re-up done in early January - word of caution, I had mine done about 3 weeks early due to an upcoming surgery, now the next renewal is also due 3 weeks earlier than the normal date, as the exam is only good for 1 calendar year from the previous renewal ...
  2. I recently had major surgery and had many of the symptoms you describe for the first couple of weeks,  Over the last 3 weeks those symptoms are gradually disappearing, mainly now my sleep rhythms are still all out of whack.  As others said, surgery can be extremely disruptive to your entire system, especially if you have other health issues to begin with.  The "seasoning" that comes with living a while seems to exacerbate that process as well ...
  3.   Depends on what you mean by "many", after all the term "public dole" dates from ancient Rome, where a large majority of it's citizens received handouts daily ...
  4.   The double-flash phenomenon has always been the "signature" of even single-stage detonations, such as the first explosion at the Trinity test site in 1945.  Multiple stage weapons produce essentially the same flash characteristics, as the time differential between staged reactions is measured in nanoseconds.  As an aside, a "shake" in physics was delineated by the physicists of the Manhattan project as 10 nanoseconds to provide a convenient measure of timing specific events in the chain reaction, it comes from the old expression "two shakes of a lamb's tail" ...
  5. Good stuff. I often make it in a slow cooker, many quarts at a time.
  6.   Sounds like good planning to me ...
  7. Opened this thread expecting to see something like this:
  8. I've set them up both ways, can't seem to tell much difference.  Then again, I don't really crimp 9mm, I set the dies to just barely remove the flare after seating the bullet.
  9.   I go one step farther, even if I recognize the number I often don't answer.  It's an anti-social trait I guess ...
  10. Very nice work.  I don't have any experience with pricing things like this, but I do like the chair.
  11.   What was your first clue?
  12. Back in stock, 161 left as of now ... http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=F3Nagant&name=Russian+M1895+7.62x38R+Nagant+Revolver&groupid=254
  13. Probably about as reliable as what you read on the internet ...
  14.   I think you have him pegged ...
  15. "45 is way better than 9mm" ...
  16.   I'm sure she was suitably impressed ...
  17. Time for a trip to a range that has a good "rent to try" program, with a good selection of handguns to choose from.
  18. FYI, Aim has GP-11 in stock for as low as $5.10/10 rounds ...
  19. Legality would be pretty much determined by the local laws regarding business licenses and such.  One potential problem is sales tax collection, the Dept of Revenue in Tennessee is very intense about that.  As for non-payment, I imagine your only real option is small claims court, be prepared for long, protracted deferrals if that happens.  The IRS will also be interested in your new "hobby" as well ...
  20. Do most leases for equipment allow sub-leasing and/or rentals?  I have no idea of the terms of the lease agreement you're talking about, but it seems unlikely that a standard agreement would cover damage repair costs from third-party operators.
  21.   Just send me the money you would spend on the lotto tickets each week, you'll have just about the same chance of winning, and I'll pick up a few extra bucks on the side ...
  22.     Beat me to it ...         Not necessarily, there are moments of weakness when you temporarily succumb to the fallacy that there's something that needs changing about your behavior, thankfully lethargy usually then takes over ...         Always cultivate low expectations from others, that way people are never disappointed in you, and are sometimes pleasantly surprised ...
  23. Just out of curiosity, did you get a pre-war?
  24. Is there some specific reason why these Youtube people feel compelled to document their ignorance ...
