    Snow!

We got about 6 inches in most of this area and it is melting fairly fast but not fast enough for me....LOL.
  3. I want to take a minute to wish everyone on TGO and their families a HAPPY AND PROPEROUS NEW YEARS!!!!
  4. Glad you mentioned it. I think they have an issue with the camera as it has been panning 360 all morning. I guess they will have to send someone up to fix it but the field is full of Elk right now.
  5. Does anyone here go and look at the live Elk Camera the TWRA has set up in East Tennessee. I go quite often. There is only about 4 out in the field right now but I have counted s many as 25 or more many times. They are interesting to watch.....JMHO
  6. Believe me when I say I totally understand the need to have a dog in your life. I have had a dog or dogs in my life since I was 6 years old and a house to me is not complete without at least 1 or more in the house. Back when I was a kid I had as many as 4 or more at the same time and I would work doing odd jobs for folks to buy their food. That was my fathers only rule even though many times he would have to kick in a little, as long as I tried it was ok for me to have them....lol.
  7. I agree, it's very hard to bury a best friend so I found out about getting them cremated and the last 2 I lost I have cremated and they are still with me on top of my TV console in urns. I can thank many people here for being able to have Kasey cremated because at the time I could not afford to get it done and many folks here stepped up and helped me. I had Kasey almost 18 years. Then I was not sure I wanted another one and this one found me and her name was Darbby and I became very attached to her quick and had her about 5 years and she had health issues when I got her and finally she developed Kidney Failure and I had her put down and this time I was financially able to have her cremated so she is on the TV Console next to Kasey. If there comes a time for Rosie She will be up there on the TV Console also.
  8. Our family decided this year not to have a Christmas Dinner but instead we had a Christmas Country Breakfast since the kids are all up wanting to do the Santa thingy. Eggs both fried and scrambled, Bacon, sausage and Country Ham, big bowls of Home fries, homemade biscuits, red eye and Sawmill gravy and coffee. I ate way to much.....LOL. I brought enough home with me to have it for dinner last evening.
  9. This is Rosie and I have the same problem as a couple others when it comes to sleeping in late. In the morning she lets me know she is up and I should be up too. She starts howling like a hound on a treed Coon and won't stop till I'm up. She is a full blooded Basset Hound and I got her from a Breeder that had her fixed and wanted to rehome her. I enjoy listening to a hound bay and yodel, just not at 6AM.....lol
  10. I want to wish everyone on TGO and their families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!!!!
  11. It was not a commercial about selling a car. It was a heart warming commercial about a daughter doing something for her father and a small garage stepping up to help and to me that is what Christmas is all about. I liked and enjoyed it.....JMHO
  12. Gordonsville was spared most of the carnage that many towns got. We had high winds, thunder and lightning and a bunch of wind. Prayers going out to the many that have lost everything including family members. My sons house was 5 miles from where those 2 police officers where trapped trying to cross that bridge in Cheatham County. He said he had 1 big tree fall on a truck in his yard and he said there was parts of houses laying on the road he lives on but no houses on that road were damaged so it was debris being carried by the storm being dropped on the road. I watched the weather and they kept talking about that one big Twister that was on the ground cutting a path of destruction for I think 200 miles. The weatherman kept telling people to get in their safe spot and to be honest, I don't think there was a safe place to go in that storm!! Again Prayers going out every night for the Victims of this terrible storm event!!!
  13. He lived a long life. R.I.P. Sir.
  14. I think the judges have to deal with so many con guys that is why they require a lawyer now.....JMHO
  15. Getting deer on public land happens pretty often but a big hog on public land is rare and kind of a treasure that seldom happens.
  16. That will save a lot on the grocery bill with prices today!!! Congrads!!!
  17. I didn't go disabled from the work. I went disable from being pinned between a runaway pickup truck and a brick wall. I died 3 times in the ambulance and woke up in St. Thomas hospital 27 days later from a drug induced coma. All I remember was some screaming to look out and then I woke up in the hospital. I was at work when I got hit. I was told by doctors what they had to do to keep me alive which was remove my spleen that was ruptured, remove 3 broken ribs from my left lung and pin them back were they belonged and then put me in the coma to start the healing process or die. I was in ICU for 47 days all together before being moved to a room and then they began working on the broken bones. They said they wanted to make sure I was going to survive before fixing the bones. They had to rebreak several that had already began healing. The orthopedic doctor said that 66% of the bones in my body were broke or fractured. The fractures would heal on their own but the broken ones would need to be repaired which was my left leg broke in 3 places and and left arm broke in 2. The surgeons that worked on me told me that my entire abdomen had experienced a very traumatic impact and would never be as strong as it was before getting hit. I got hit on April 17, 1978 and got to leave the hospital in December after my last of 4 surgeries to fix things showing up while I was in the hospital. The Orthopedic doctor told me that by age 50 I would begin the develop Arthritis and he missed in by 10 years as it began to show at age 60. I was able to return to work in March of 79 and during the next 20 years I had to undergo 4 abdominal hernia repairs with the last one ending my working career. The doctor that did the last one told me if I got another one it would put me in bed for life. I went fishing.....LOL. I had to give that up about 3 years ago because most of my body has some type of Arthritic issue with my hands and legs being the worst.
  18. I was an ASE Certified Auto Technician for 35 years before going 100% disabled. That was just a fancy name for a professional Auto mechanic / Grease monkey. Took up the hobby of making fishing baits for people and sold that to Chuckshoes and don't know how he is doing with it. I hope fine!!! Now I just piddle around staying out of trouble.....LOL
  19. I heard a high ranking pentagon officer make a statement the next day after China tested there supersonic missile. He said that we have about 6 of them too so what is the big deal and the reporter doing the interview didn't have a comeback to the statement...lol.
  20. The jury got it 100% correct. Now Kyle should sue everyone his lawyers can pin a lawsuit against....JMHO
