  1. I might do a quick write up with pics when finished. Might include benched load work up for accuracy.
  2. 1-2wks. Flat trigger from overwatch precision shipped today. The grip is large-ish, I'll be doing reduction and texturing after finishing the build and function testing. I'll be removing the molded features on the grip down smooth and going from there. Also have to knock down a couple sharp spots on the frame where it rubs my hand.
  3. Nice! i waited forever for them to come back in stock and never did. Wanted it as dedicated supressor host.
  4. There are really no specific weights tied to the calibers. In general, 9mm standard weight is 5.5oz but are made up to 7.5oz(I run a 7.5oz in my supressed 9mmAR). I believe the 45 runs around 8.5oz. A lot has to do with carrier weight as they work in conjunction. Not all buffers are created equally, I'd suggest checking out heavybuffers.com or contacting Rudy @ Macon Armory(he build lots of 45 blowback guns).
  5. I'm building one. I wouldn't build one to make it a run of the mill stock Glock, mine will get mostly all aftermarket parts. I look at it as platform and not brand. I can get $400 1911's, but they don't compare to my $2k ones. The same applies here, just I'm building it instead of dropping $2k on an agency, salient or ZEV. I'm literally waiting for all the rest of the parts in the next few days. Here's a pre-build mock up: ETA: Midway has the black frame for $99 right now. It comes with the jig and needed bits for completion. Also can be completed with a file, sandpaper and a hand drill.
  6. Blah,blah,blah.... http://www.springfield-armory.com/products/saint/
  7. I saw some posts from someone who used to run the SA custom shop, no longer works there but said he thinks it's a gonna be very popular and widely imitated. The one word he gave as a hint : modular
  8. Dropped the ball not offering .357 single shot...just saying I'll still buy one in .223 most likely
  9. Beretta 71. They are about $250, with pinned fake supressor. These are supposedly Mossad guns and recently imported. The fake pinned supressor can be removed to reveal threaded barrel. Mags aren't cheap or plentiful. Gun is really cool, old berettas are quality pieces. Ive had 21a's. They usually work best with hi power 22lr, neat gun, but kind of a novelty. Trigger of of the LCR 22 is heavy to fire rimfire. The SR 22 works well, reasonably accurate and priced, safety goes wrong way for 1911 folks.
  10. 586....blue smiths are the best smiths
  11. My $.02, if you're not getting a 40MOS to add a red dot, why pay for the MOS system. If it's the long sight radius that draws you, get the 34. The long sight radius is nil when using the red dot. If after velocity, you can get 6" barrels for the 20. For the haters, .40s&w gets a decent bump in the 35.....
  12. Last 3 batch approved today 4/5 30cal Form 1 supressor 4/5 45cal Form 1 supressor 4/22 45cal Integral form 1 supressor
  13. I do miss when I lived in a more moderate climate. When in CA for 7yrs, I was able to ferment in the garage during winter(50 degrees). I did California Common beers quite a bit, similar to Anchor Steam. A good Pilsner is hard to beat, still prefer the original, Pilsner Urquell.
  14. But the execution after fermentation is harder, petulant wine when not expecting it is a scary way to wake up in the night. Having done both off and on 10yrs, with basic English brown, I can have bottled And fermented beer in 18days, ready to drink. Never needed a cool place, room temperature is fine(70-74f) for most standard ales. I too prefer darker beers for homebrewing. I've made a bunch of wild stuff over the years, only 1 failure, my first kit similar to Mr. beer, not an infection, just odd tasting, maybe an oxidation issue.... blueberry IPA, colonial vengeance porter, double ESB's, lambics, Espresso beer(yes real espresso), honey beers, Belgian dubel and triples....everyone's favorite was always a fall/winter themed Wasail Ale with nutmeg, ginger, cinammon, honey..... if if you like Tecate Mexican beer, you can get pop top quarts(32oz) that are perfect for a little more than 2 beers per bottle. Usually ended up 1 for the wife and 1.5 for me
  15. Thin, no, previous experience from the guy I use, yes. Possibility of him being wrong, 100%. We don't do "thin air" in west TN.
  16. I believe 7 is max per 4473. I've done multiples numerous times.
  17. Easy upgrade and non-permanent, get JP yellow spring kit for reduced pull. Total investment of $12.
  18. My 29 would run .40 with the stock barrel. I only ran a few mags to see "what if". I've also read of people loading .40 brass to 10mm OAL with 10 loads. In both cases the round is headspacing off the extractor.
  19. I carried one for about 4yrs straight, just the basic non-slip pocket style but carried IWB. I ordered one for a Kel tec p32(seems a bit large)and it went everywhere then found once I got a Kahr Cm9, it fit it much better than the p32. It never once failed, stitching and material held up and I actually still have it but not in use. I also have a plain mag holder and it works great for pocket carry.
  20. Radical Firearms most likely doesn't manufacture their barrel from scratch either. But PSA and RF most likely get some parts from same distributor.
  21. Was off on my March dates above. Sucks for y'all Baby batch approval- 4 of 7 approved today Rest are April submissions Form 1 SBR and Form 1 22 supressor Sub'd 3/4/16 Approved 8/19 Form 1 SBR and Form 1 50 supressor Sub'd 3/27/16 Approved 8/19/16 Examiner Jesse Huff
  22. The easiest question is: do you plan to have magnified optics? second: what is planned use of said rifle? third: budget, sans accessories and/or optics?
  23. Yup this. I use the 15" gray one on my 3gun rifle with 18" OdinWorks 3gun barrel.
