  1. Get grid tied micro inveters they connect directly to the pannel and they come in 120v and 240v version and they cut over is their is no power so there is no concern about linemen shock.
  2. They actually contract with certain insurance company's and plans. Had a bit of a problem with my 1 doctor at one point not doing my plan. Thanks Robert
  3. Yep. The law was almost changed the year before but the Dem's played games stalling it for a year. Next Session they passed it and overide the Governers Veto. I still have a few freinds left in MD and it was big news up there sense it was the state next door. Kinda like it is when there is change in VA in this state. Thanks Robert
  4. That was my big concern when I was moving down to TN. We bought the house a month before moving down. We knew the place was going to be empty for a least a month and was afraid someone was going to move in on us. I was pleased we were able moving a plan ahead a little and we move just 3 weeks after closing and was please everything was in good shape when we got here.
  5. Don't Laugh I expect there will be a permanent base on Mars by 2040.
  6. I was looking around my profile and selected Profile -> See reputation activity -> Status Replies and got the following error. https://www.dropbox.com/s/slnbg0y77zv09c0/tgo_screen_shoot1.png?dl=0
  7. Personally I selected 'unread content' then selected 'sorting' -> 'oldest first' once I did that gave me a link of http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/discover/unread/?stream_sort=oldest then I bookmarked it. Once it was bookmarked I just select the bookmark and it showed me all the under read posts oldest first every time.
  8. Unfortunately doesn't come in my size Unfortantly
  9. Is there any why to kill those top two banners. The old design wasn't bad but the new design these banners take up my entire screen. I have to scroll down to see anything. I case you are wondering I am talking about the "Get more Do more" and the "Update Your Contact Information!" banners there doesn't seem to be a way to make them go away. https://www.dropbox.com/s/gchu8qdjs8ygv7k/tgo_screen_shoot.png?dl=0
  10. I came from Maryland around 11 months ago. The first time I went in showed my DL and walked out with a handgun was amazing. In Maryland you had to fill out 4 copies of extra paperwork took more than 30 min to fill out. Then leave the gun and return 8 days later sometimes longer. I had 1 gun took over 6 months to get the paperwork back. Nothing like living in America since I moved to TN.
  11.   I got one of those letters.  Funny thing is I don't remember ordering anything from AIM.   Thanks Robert
  12. Why on earth would a local law enforcement every agree to a contract like that?
  13.   In Chattanooga I was looking into solar and it was a bit more then we could afford at the time but the installers weren't exactly pushing battery backup based systems but it sounded like they would support it.
  14.   I think you need to at least tell us what part of the state you are in?
  15. Someone has to go there.  It sounds like he party like it 1999 a little to much :)   I liked some of his earlier works but he was always a little strange.
  16. Kinda Cool my rep is Mike Bell (R-9)  I guess I know who I will be voting for :)
  17. Wasn't me been meaning to get my stickers on my car.
  18.   That doesn't even cover people like me who moved from another state and brought some firearms with him.  I am sure the state could track who has guns and who doesn't but I doubt they could track who has what at least without some additional legislation.   Thanks Robert
  19.   Interlocking plates are cheap and legal if you pay to have someone install then they can replace out your cord with the proper male outlet at the same time and you can use a standard cable.   Thanks Robert
  20.   What you want is a suicide cord.  If you call local eletriction one might be willing to sell you one.  They are very dangerous and no one in there right mind should be recommending them to you.  The proper way to do it isn't that expensive and will safe guard you, your generator, line men who are working on power, and your freedom if you make a mistake.  As long as you make no mistakes everyone should be fine but if you make one mistake you could be found guilty of a crime besides the guilt of hurting someone.  Way to much in my option to risk over a $100 in parts and maybe another $100 in labor.     Thanks Robert
  21.   GigaFactory is impressive but LG has one in China that can produce allot of batteries as well and are also breaking ground in the EU working on their 3rd factory.  It looks like LG is building infrastructure right now planing for the future.  Likely why the Bolt is getting a fairly good price on their batteries compared to everyone else.  It looks like LG and Panasonic are really working thing to become dominant players in the battery market.
  22. Batteries still represent a huge percentage of the cost of electric vehicles. As the cost of light weight batteries goes down the millage in the newer vehicles is going up. If the prices continue to fall that their current level electric vehicles will be cheaper then gas ones without any rebates or avg out cost for fuel for the next few years. Thanks Robert
  23.   There are several Level 4 charging stations in TN.  Telsa calls them super chargers.  They add a lot of miles to your car charge very fast as in 100+ miles in under 30 mins.  There are also Level 3 chargers generally called DC fast chargers and that is what most cars like the Nissan Leaf use.  Most Telsa car owner buy a cord that will work with level 3 chargers although Telsa owners doesn't get those out of the box.  There is also what Telsa call Destitution chargers they are level two chargers and they match what most people will install in there homes and the are pretty much the same outlet one would use for a stove or a clothes drier.  Level 2 charges take longer but tend to be at end points like lookout mount in the Chattanooga area.  A Telsa can even full charge on a level one charger common know as a light socket but at that level it could take days to fully charge from empty.   Each level up will generally double the number of miles one get per 30 min of charge.  Level 4 maxes out at around 170 miles per 30 min.  Level 3 depends on the charger but maxes out around 75 to 100 miles per 30 min.  Level 2 charges depends on the cars as well as the chargers but generally get around 20 to 40 miles per 30 min.  Finally level 1 generally gets you around 4 miles per 30 min only really good for overnight charging.   Since most people with EV plug their EV into there how charging station and leave it on the charger overnight they wake up to a full charge ever morning and only use the charging stations during trips.   Thanks Robert
  24.   With 200+ miles we are talking about 3+ hours of driving on a charge and since most electric car owner charge their car at home and start out the morning with a fully charged vehicle it is rear to have to go near a charging station unless you decide to go on a long trip more then 90 min away from your home.  I would guess the avg american does that maybe twice a year?  I have done a trip that would require me to visit a SC stations once in the last 9 months.   Thanks Robert
  25.   Yes but at rates that are like $3 per hundred miles.  Compared to most gas cars that are closer to $10 to $15 per hundred miles.  With larger percentage of the grid powered by renewable it is more and more likely it is powered by the wind although yes it is at least partially powered by coal, oil, or nuke at scale.
