Texas gears up for new open-carry handgun law
rmiddle replied to The Legion's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Na it means that Texas now has a Handgun Carry Permit like Tennessee. If you have a permit you can choose if you want to open or close carry although it does sound like there is a way in Texas for a businesses to simply ban open without banning concealed carry. Thanks Robert -
I had a few Jewish friends I use to wish a happy honkia. Although passover was a much bigger issues for them. Thanks Robert

I got a good chunk of cash so I might end up with one for Christmas. :) Thanks Robert

They most likely will renew you in for six years so the 2 dates match up. Thanks Robert
-
That was what I was attempting to say. I you are 24 or 29 they will renew you to 30 / 35 and it will cost 6 years. Thanks Robert
-
Are you sure you have confirmed the number of years you are renewing for? They are working to sync everyones renewals to their birthdates in 5 year cycles. Aka 20,25,30,35,40, etc. Thanks Robert

Virginia to end reciprocity with 25 states
rmiddle replied to Chucktshoes's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Actually they would be excited about the change. Unless TN is planing to start handling out of state permits for VA residents who want to carry in the state they need to leave things they way they are. Thanks Robert -
Least happy and most miserable cities in Tennessee

Number 5 should be Number 1. I don't know the other 9 area's. Thanks Robert -
It was a joke based on the new TN Logo some one created and I have been seeing it used some on the site. It started as a Joke but seems to be developing a life of it own. Off curse when I went to look for it I can't find it. Thanks Robert

I just bought the last 2 stickers. Hopefully when they reprint they will use the new unofficially design that has been floating around the site that started as a joke but actually looks pretty cool and some people like myself seems to like. Thanks Robert

LOL. I just finishing saying there were Glock people and Sig people :). Thanks Robert
-
If we had a few more of these happening in this county there would be a lot few of them to have to worry about. Thanks Robert
-
Some of us like the feel of Glocks. I am one of them. There seem to be 2 kind of people those with big hands who like Glocks and those with small hands who like Sig Sauer. Thanks Robert

The SR45 is the only 45 I currently own. I love it feel. Its got a nice smooth trigger pull and I found it easier on my wrist then a glock 41. The SR45 has a very Glock like feel so if you don't like the feel of Glocks you might not be happy with the SR45. I would see if you can find one to feel the grips. Thanks Robert

This story is a rehash from 2014 likely brought out because they wanted to write something about guns but not actually do any real research. The concolusion of many people who read the original story was that some officers got into the habit of riding the trigger because their old weapon had a very tight long trigger pull and the new one is short and light resulting in people firing when they don't mean to. Thanks Robert

ATF Copying 4473 information in bulk

Sounds like Obamo is attempting to work around the law. I have found many Liberal in office tend to care very little for the actual law. Thanks Robert -
Pending Gun EO Chatter, Update See Post #114
rmiddle replied to runco's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Personal guess it will be like when they passed o-care it will happen on Dec 25th a time when no one is paying attention and by the new year when people start paying attention again it will be "old news" Thanks Robert -
Although when I moved from CA to rural PA for a year there was very little to do and well their I was introduced to hunting. I did it the one session and got a 30/30 for Christmas. However we moved from PA to Urban MD and never returned to hunting again. Never actually fired that 30/30 it took more then 20 years before I was finally able to fire it. Oct 2012 me and my mother were watching one of those Discovery channel gun shows and they were shooting and it looked like fun so I suggested lets look into going out and tiring that out. Since she doesn't move well at the time required the use of a walker she suggest I go and try it out if it was fun then she would join me. It only took me going out once. I rented a bunch of guns and bought ammo from the range. I was hooked. In under a year I went from 1 30/30 that was never fired to 14 guns and was out at the range 3 to 4 times a months. Granted my collection is small compared to many here but I have a pretty good sampling of what is out there. Once you have a gun in your home you realize how much better you feel knowing it is there if you need it. Since I was living in the People Republic of Maryland getting a HCP was out of the question but I did get a Utah and have used it to carry in other states I just moved to TN this year and am in the process of getting a TN HCP. Thanks Robert

It can be done as long as you have line of sight between the 2 sites but make sure you read the terms of service many ISP ban the sharing of services. Ubiquiti makes some really good stuff for doing long distance connections. Thanks Robert

Just took the class last week we did 5 sets of 10 rounds. I doubt there would have been a problem using a speed loader. I was shocked they were using .22lr to take the test. Thanks Robert

Always carry with one in the pipe.
rmiddle replied to Steelharp's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I carry a Glock 19. I have practiced pulling and racking at the same time. I figure it is better to have then not have even if I don't keep 1 in the chamber. I have practiced with snap cap's and am searching for a decent holster but at this point until I get my muscle memory to a point were my finger doesn't automatically hit the trigger I am not going to put one in the chamber. Thanks Robert -
Welcome to the forum. I am going to suggest you do what I did when I started. Find a local range that rents handguns and try a bunch of difference ones. I started out thinking I was going to buy a Sig Sauer in .40 cal then when I shot one I found the handle was two thin for my big old claws and that a Glock or Rugar just fit my hands perfectly. After shooting 9m, .40 cal, and .45 I ended up using a 9m for my primary carry gun. I also have a .45 but in the end I don't even own a .40 cal because I just didn't like shooting them at all. Thanks Robert
