I'm a home-based guy and I'm checking my sources daily. So far nothing, but getting closer.

That's pretty much cost on the Sig from the Reloadersnest add. And if you order from out of state you're likely not paying a tax on it. So even with some shipping and a transfer fee it's a good price.

My vote is for CZ out of what you've mentioned. I recently went through "the change" and sold off a couple Glocks in order to get back to all steel for USPSA shooting. Ended up with a Tanfoglio Stock II and I'm really liking it thus far. It's a DA/SA setup and feels so much nicer than the "sproingy" feeling of a striker fired DAO. If you're patient CZ should start shipping the Shadow 2 in the next couple weeks. They look pretty nice and will probably outshoot the Sig.

Be safe, have fun, and learn. Beyond that, your CZ75 will be good in USPSA Production. Can't speak for IDPA, I've never participated in that. Stay up on the weather and wear comfortable, durable shoes with great traction. I've seen a couple DQs from guys slipping on mud or wet grass and breaking the 180, and I've slid through a shooting box or two for the same reasons.

This is what I was getting at with my point. Receivers, with some exceptions, could probably be chosen based on your favorite looking roll mark or machine finish quality. So where I want to be I'm spending money on a trigger, a barrel capable of sub MOA, preferably stainless, and a nice slim hand guard, free float, that is 13-15 inches long. 16" midgas 1:8, Wylde chamber you're ball parking $200. Good trigger, ballpark another $200. BCM KMR15, $275. So just to change three items on these "under $400 builds" you're at $675. Add the remaining parts, a Magpul or B5 stock, H2 buffer, and an inexpensive red-dot on top and you're at $1000 just as a rough guess. But it'll outshoot the standard PSA carbine kit all day. This is not to knock PSA, this is to say, for what I want and expect out of the AR platform, the sub $400 just doesn't get there until I change out parts to suit my needs, then it's not what PSA aimed for for certain customers.

HPA introduced to the HoR on 9 January: https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-bill/367 Also introduced to the Senate as well: https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/senate-bill/59 Fingers crossed, in the meantime I'm waiting for NFA branch.

I disagree to a point. At $700 or $800 it's not name recognition that you're paying for. A $3,000 KAC on the other hand would be paying for a name. I feel like there's a line, or maybe a window is a better analogy, where an AR under the line is just made up of cheap parts, and one above is simply the name and bling. Inside that window you get guns priced fairly in relation to the quality of their components.

I'm not what you'd call an AR snob, but when you start pushing them into that $399, low end range, I'll pass. Generally you get what you pay for, and I'd rather pay $700 for a beater that you can actually beat and not break.

And they just released an AR15 at SHOT...just to add to the mix.

...not being used as an Army sidearm anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's my favorite pistol platform for sure. But they're not as easy to maintain in a harsh environment and have less capacity, which are two things the Army apparently wanted when they switched to the Beretta.
-
Beretta is a foreign company too. And Glock. And FN. It's almost hard to get away from that these days, unless they would have picked the M&P.
-
The M9 is over 30 years old, I'd say that's almost reason enough. But this will take care of locking block problems and stoppage drills that cause shooters to put the gun on safe inadvertently.

3G4V Run N Gun, Presented by Rockcastle: March 18, 2017
ARO Matt replied to Matt in TN's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
I don't suppose you've had any dropouts yet that have opened up any slots? Just saw this and would really love to attend! EDIT: I went ahead and registered in the hope the waitlist opens up... -
I got a trust a few years ago because you could skip the fingerprint, photo, and CLEO authorization that an individual had to get. Now that a trust member has to do prints and photos, and the CLEO requirement is only notification as opposed to a request, there's almost no reason to go the trust route. If you transfer between you and your trust, or vice-versa, you're paying another $200 and waiting again.

I have a LEFTY Galco belt holster for a HK USP 45. Black leather, FBI cant. I've had it forever but haven't had a USP in over 15 years. Someone wants it, let me know.

Thanks. That did the trick. I only wish I'd have looked for this solution before I messaged David...

You can shoot .308 subsonic as well.
-
I disagree. Why do you need the extra capacity with a 10mm? My vote (if not going with a custom gun) is for a Dan Wesson in 10mm or a EAA/Tanfoglio in 10mm if you want an alternative to the 1911.

MCTS having Outlaw Steel and Multi-Gun Matches this Weekend
ARO Matt replied to wkd93's topic in Competitive Shooting Sports
See you Sunday -
If not this, then learn to run the "righty" gun. I'm a lefty and I use my middle finger to dump a mag, and I slingshot the slide if it's empty. As for the gun choice...1911.

We left behind 7.62 and .45 in our primary and secondary weapons for NATO...think about that one for a bit
-
Never seen it blow out the side like that, but looks like a pressure issue though. Keep us posted on what FN says. I have, on the other hand, had an AR15 bolt split in half at the cam pin several years ago...in the middle of a stage...at the Ft. Benning 3-Gun match.

What SASS are you looking for?
