  1. I'll state what my thinking was when I got my Harvester 30 can a few years. I only wanted one can for all of my CF rifles, and a range buddy and the shop owner confirmed that I could use the 30 cal can on everything up to a 308 caliber with no ill effects on performance or accuracy. Largest caliber I have/shoot is a 6BR, so I just got ONE 5/8-24 threaded end cap for attaching to the muzzles, and all of my barrels are threaded the same 5/8-24. I don't change the exit end cap for any caliber I shoot (20 cal up to 6BR) , I just screw the can on to the gun I want, and shoot. I just have to adjust/re-zero the scope due to the can. When I don't use the can, I usually have a muzzle brake on to annoy the 338L guys who use a brake at the range, or anyone else who uses a brake on the larger calibers.
  2. I remember watching him on TV back in my younger days. Sorry to hear of his passing.
  3. There are ABRA/ARA matches (22 BR RF) at Bullets & Bulldogs, in Madisonville, TN. You can find them on FB, along with contact info. Oak Ridge Sportsmen Assn (ORSA) has various 22lr matches. http://orsaonline.org/

    Tumor

    Best wishes and prayers.
  5. Traveled from below Knoxville today, a local Weigel's was $2.99 with a discount card at around 8:30am, on the way home today at 4:30pm, it was $2.79 with the discount card. All the other prices I saw between the house and Kingsport was around $3.00-3.05 as a general rule during the day. It dropped at this one store for some reason, but I filled up the wife's car anyways at that price. I paid the $2.99 this morning, and $2.79 this afternoon.

    Go Vols!

UT baseball has become just as stressful as the football and basketball seasons, it's just stressful to watch the guys win. LOL
  7. IF interested in a swap for Large Rifle Primers, let me know.
  8. Use the homepage bookmark and then hit the unread option, and scroll. Sometimes I open a thread, sometimes I scroll and then hit the mark all forums read.
  9. If the current tins are in new/showroom condition, you might as well ask top $$ for them, you can come down but not go up. LOL
  10. What's that new response that applies, oh yeah FAFO. LOL
  11. You should really really keep those tassles, they be cool.
  12. I married a twin, so need I say anymore??? We have lived in this house for over 19 yrs, and the wife still doesn't know where North is either. She just followed me outside and started looking up at the sky based on how I was facing. LOL
  13. SIL asked me what direction she needed to look in to see them, and I just shook my head. Told her to use the compass on her iphone to figure it out. She didn't know there was a compass app on the phone either.
  14. Last night we were outside around 11pm, and didn't see much except for some unusual colors of the night time sky. Wife started using the iphone and we figured out what our naked eyes couldn't see. Knoxville TV stations stated the 11PM to 1AM time slot was prime time for the area, but could change daily due to various conditions.
  15. We live rural, but still some light pollution. Wife and I were able to see them with the naked eye while standing in our backyard. The colors were very muted to the naked eye (pale pink and grayish color), but using the "smart phone", the colors were a lot more vibrant, brighter, etc.
  16. Pics of targets may help convince someone.
  17. I saw some news clips of the damage done in the Columbia/Spring Hill area, looked bad for those folks but don't know how many homes, etc., were damaged. Hopefully not too many,
  18. Car Max is another place similar to Carvana, all have a website, so surf the web until you find what you're looking for, then go to the dealer lot to kick the tires. LOL
  19. I had a 2000 RK, did the big bore kit on it (cam, pistons, exhaust & tuner), and it was a hoss in terms of low end grunt/torque. I never had a problem with the engine or the bike, but you were almost required to do some mods to the engine as the factory detuned all the power out to meet EPA crap. GLW the search.
  20. I've read that those particular Boyd stocks are prone to breaking in that spot due to the large thumbhole. I have several laminate stocks, but no thumbhole models. I have a couple Boyd's laminates, a Praire Varmint and an AT-1. No issues, and they have been to the range numerous times, and cross country varmint trips in the back of a truck bed.
