  1. Some Walmarts are about useless when you need ammo. Guns they usually have but, gun food is another story.
  2. Oh, I didn't even mention my loads. In the Staghorn I've had good luck with 350 gr. Maxi-Hunters, using Triple 7 and 209 primers. And in the Huntsman I'm gonna try round balls and Triple 7.
  3. I got a CVA Staghorn .50 caliber with a Simmons 3x-9x 32mm that was a real dog on everything else but, worked good on this rifle. Go figure? I've had it for 20 years or so. But, I'm leaning on using my H&R Huntsman .58 caliber. It needed some work earlier, and I got it all fixed. I've not shot it in a long time but, am going to try it in a few days hopefully.
  4. I had one back in the early '90's.
  5. I don't actually remember it but, have heard the stories. A whole lot of water with no place to go.
  6. I'd make them send it back to me just because they was a dick about it.
  7. I ship things USPS and get things shipped to me through them. Very seldom any problems.
  8. Averaged around 35 bucks a pound, more or less. That's about what I've been seeing for awhile.
  9. Yeah, lately they've a had a decent supply of powder. I wish they would get some cast pistol bullets in.
  10. Cast is really about all you need in a big caliber like .45, which is actually a .458 -.459 bullet. A big flat point will work great.
  11. Yeah, and the Murder Hornets didn't work either.
  12. Yeah, he can't believe in his all knowing world that a large percentage of people don't listen to him or trust him. By the way, I think his ego may apply for statehood.
  13. I hope that worked, and we can all get on with our lives.
  14. Sometimes things will change with burning rates of powders. But, no older than it is, I wouldn't think there would be a serious problem . Always work up to a max load. If you want you could buy another new manual. I've got 2 or 3 Speer, a couple Hornady and 3 Lyman.
  15. I put out a trace block Sunday but, ain't been back yet. I may have to put out some "yellow acorns" to get some pics. Not been getting a lot of pics so far. Just have to make sure its gone by muzzleloader season.
  16. A guy I work with has a Henry .45-70. Hasn't got the chance to hunt with it yet.
  17. It's probably coming to the company I work for too.
  18. My BIL used to have a couple of these. He even had a chamber adaptor to shoot .45 Colts. Undersize but still shot decent.
  19. Oh I can shoot it a lot. Got that figured out. "Handloader", I don't enjoy shooting .22 ammo as much as I did.
  20. Yeah, we'll see I guess....... Might be sad.
