  1. I would like to have a .22lr to plink, but the end game thought on this is to be a "just in case" bag gun. I wanted a short barrel because I need to keep my bag small and if I use the bag, it will need to be concealable. I know I could use a .38 or .357 for this, but weight is a factor and I want to carry a decent number of rounds too. I also know that this sort of gun role is usually filled by cheap little models, but if I need it, I want it reliable. Also why I want a revolver. That being said, I don't want a $600 revolver languishing in a bag in the back of my car. I know, I want it all and I want it cheap. Us poor guys have needs too. lol
  2. I am wanting to pick up a .22LR pistol. I would prefer to go with a 3 inch or less revolver. I am having a hard time finding one that is not a RG (or similar quality ), a H&R (or similar) antique, or just as expensive as a .38. I also want to avoid the mini revolvers like the NAA models. I may have to settle for a semi, but thought I would ask first. So any suggested models? Just in case if you have a recommendation for a semi, toss it in too. Thanks guys and gals.
  3. Me too because I read your repost of it. Never felt the desire to put a chemical burning agent anywhere close to my boxer briefs
  4. This is precisely why I buy, but do not sell guns. Well that and the fact that I have not reached anywhere close to critical mass of my "armory." Also allows me to not worry about who ended up with a gun that has my name stamped on it via a background check.
  5. I agree that it is too soon for a crazy slide in language and social skills on a mass level. Even 5 years would be too soon unles you had something like all kids that had no caregivers to socialize them.. Maybe it is an act to give away as little info as possible? Yeah they are in Virginia. Not as gun friendly in some areas as GA, but still should be lots of old shotguns, hunting rifles, and .22s lying around. Ammo might be an issue, but h3ll you can make a gun out of 2 pieces of pipe and a nail. They should be able to come up with something. Why not manufacture guns instead of trash piles and wire cats? Yeah, I have thought of that too. No one is riding around in a big Escalade or Range Rover. My only thought is that they pick older cars that are easier to work on. Pre-computer vehicles that use a carb and cables to run things. That would be a little smart. Though maintaining the body with some paint would help their longevity. One thing that bothered me in the scene where the Kingdom is giving their stuff to the Savior group is that part of the stuff was car batteries. If this has been a couple or 3 years, most batteries sitting there in cars would be bad by now. Plus the Saviors do not seem to have a large warehouse stock of stuff they are maintaining. The only other option is that they are pulling the lead for reloading. That might be ok, though it is much more deadly than using wheel weights. With all the stuff lying around all groups seem to do very limited collect and catalog. Having teams looking for stuff like spare car parts to pull and log in a warehouse would be my plan after the immediate needs of food and shelter are met. Collect things like reloading supplies, building material (nails and screws), copper wire (for wire use and to use as a copper source), and any other category you can thing of. Plus with Alexandria seeming to have a good supply of electricity, you could bring in stuff to set up a machine shop, a commercial kitchen (cooking is large batches is far less wasteful), textile manufacturing, and etc. Call me a hoarder, but in that world no one is going to be making certain things again for a long time. The longer things go on the more trade value some things will have. Even things as crazy as old skin mags would have a value since the supply was limited. Also, all these dead cars would be a great source of oil. Either to use as oil or as a fuel. Just pull the oil plug and drain them. Load it into 55gal barrels and store it in a safe spot. But, especially in Alexandria, these people seem to spend a lot of time doing nothing. Even the kids could pitch in with things like collecting aluminum and steel cans to be melted down as a raw material.
  6. Grab a gun has an Ar back at $399.99! DEL-TON DT SPORT BLACK .223 / 5.56 NATO 16-INCH 30RD http://grabagun.com/del-ton-dtsport-collapse-m4-comm-stk.html
  7. Nice looking ones. I hope to add a few more to my house. Just gotta find them at the right point. Still keeping open for a .357. Just not seen one that the owner and I agreed on what it was worth in cash or trade. lol

    Gun show

Probably a case of stupid instead of malicious intent. Some people never got properly trained. I would have got chewed out by my Dad and Papaw. I have seen guys like this waving around loaded guns. Best to just avoid them and hope any accidents injure them not someone else.
  9. My wallet says this is all I can get.
  10. I just have to say that I think the contrast is funny. Here are all these military style guns, guys in camo uniforms, and tires stacked around. Your friend looks like he could be out at the mall. I hope he had fun though. I would love to get some time with guns like that.
  11. I stand corrected. But the person sitting up looks more like a horror movie ghost than an actual person sitting up from a bent position. There is also a reflection in the car while he is adding gas.
  12. You know someone else said that that I work with. I rewatched it online pausing it and I didnt see it. Maybe my eyes are getting bad.
  13. Wow that is a nice looking free float and barrel. Nice looking gun really.
  14. Then I am going to try to draw you into an area where you cannot do a tactical reload (pick up more rocks). Then make my ammo outlast yours.
  15. I reached out to some guys to see if they could do it.
  16. Well I will carry a double barrel .790 caliber then.....
  17. I guess to out do you I am gonna have to start open carrying a sawed off double barrel 10GA
  18. Well I guess to correct myself, no one but Fortyfive plans for that
  19. As far as I can find, it does not exist. I think the reporter could not read his/her handwriting and it was supposed to be AR-15. Or maybe the Associated Press designed a super secret rifle
  20. I agree that we can't carry for every situation, otherwise we would all be humping a huge pack with a shotgun, sniper rifle, AR, and 3 sidearms. Plus 5000 rounds of ammo.....for each. Having anything is better than nothing and shot placement is everything. A .25ACP through the eye socket will kill someone/thing as easy as a 45-70. So if a Bengal Tiger jumps you in the grocery store, just use what you have, because no one plans for that.
  21. That is something we should get some of the other guys and gals to weigh in on. I am afraid I do not have hands on with either. I am guessing either would be a plus for you. Funny thing, I was just looking at a a 760 that someone had posted somewhere from a different state.
