  1. I have never wanted to work at a Starbucks before, but I would love to do this.
  2. Nice to meet ya'
  3. No I had not. Actually I had never seen one. It looks like the way they load sets them apart. They look nice, but as small as my budget is, I have to look at good guns not top shelf niche models. I am glad you guys have the cash to lay out for some of these. Hopefully some day I will. Right now, when I buy, it is to vary the depth of my stock more than for a specific gun. I am covering the basics you guys probably already have in hand. My mention on the Henry gun is an overall impression I have of Henry. They are nice guns, but all their models are expensive. Just my opinion. Like the old saying goes....it is worth about as much as teats on a boar.
  4. The problem with Henry is that this single shot is over $400. To me that is way too much for even a nice new single shot gun. If CVA is their big competition, then they beat Henry by 50%
  5. I bought a used car out of NC from a GA company. They charged me the TN tax and filed everything for me. Even shipped me the tag when they got it. Unless it is a small lot, they can probably file it all.
  6. Yep, then we just need a bunch of sets of these to weed out the other calibers. SHELL SORTER http://www.shellsorter.com/ Or they make automatic ones, but they run around $1300 http://www.ultimatesorter.com/ I know a guy that used to work at a reloading supply house that used one similar to this to sort brass and weed out the tumbler media (corn cob). He said it was slick, but doing it 40 hours a week nearly drove him batty.
  7. If you bid on that one, you might want to bid on this one if it stays cheap. It is in the same place and I bet you could work out a trade with someone. 220 lbs (approx.) Fired 300 Win Mag brass http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849721 More 5.56 too http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849508&convertTo=USD There is also .50 and 7.62 lots Or you could just try and reload these. lol http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11849581&convertTo=USD or these http://www.govliquidation.com/auction/view?auctionId=11872219&convertTo=USD Man I wish I could pick up some of these. I would need a tumbler the size of a concrete truck though. lol
  8. Either he had ill intent or was stupid. Walking up on a LEO with a weapon in your hands is never a good situation.
  9. I figure since TGO David does this as a side job to keep us all a place to talk and post that I will defer to his decision on changes until he starts to sound like Castro or Stalin about things. I am not sure I love the new classifieds on my phone ( I have to go landscape to scroll), but on the PC, they are easy to scroll through. I am editing to add one thing. The only thing I see so far that might be nice in the classifieds is if we could filter/sort by location. That would only work if the poster added a location though. Being up here in East TN, all the Nashville and Memphis guns are out of my reach. Still like to look a d drool, but if I could filter or sort them to get me stuff closer to home it would help out.
  10. I have not yet, but more because I am never by either location on my daily travels. I need to give them a call, but was waiting until I could swing by if they did have any.
  11. Ok thanks I looked at their site. Too far to go for a box of shorts. We had a Sportsman Liquidators here, but it closed. That is why I thought I recognized the name. Wrong as usual. Lol
  12. I am not sure I have one around up here in the far East, but I will look. I am leaning toward low power due to what I am going to shoot it in anyway. Just looking to plink. If I seriously needed to use .22, I have my Marlin 60 rifle that is my go to .22LR slinger. Thanks
  13. Yeah, you are so right. I blame my mistake on lack of sleep and the day I was having at work. Thanks for the correction.
  14. Ok, thanks. Got a Nashville trip coming up, but pretty sure it is gonna be rushed down and back with the family. I will see if I can sneak over that way without a family revolt. Lol we will see.
  15. The CCI CB .22 Short?
  16. That's why I was drinking so much tea myself. I quit drinking sodas and needed something because I drink so much. Found out I should just switch to water. Lol
  17. Since tea washes iron out of your blood, not sure which would kill you first. At one point I used to drink so much tea I became anemic. But that was several gallons a day. Lol
  18. Yeah, I got used to doing that when LR was so short. Most of ours have started putting it on the shelf again though. I will find some, it is just taking longer than I would like. So many people are still hot to find LR that I am not sure anyone is ordering short, maybe not even making it.
  19. Thank. I am keeping a watch at the local Wal-marts. Unfortunately, Outpost is a good drive for me (4 1/2 hours) so I do not see getting to drop by there any time soon. I will see about their website.
  20. Not to revive too old of a thread, but I just got to hold one of these a co-worker bought. It felt nice and had some good furniture on it, but I can't say it was better that the $400 PSA. Maybe if I shot both, I would think differently. anyone shot one? He had added a bipod and a Scorpion Scope which together cost over 50% what the rifle did. Maybe I an a cheapo, but I have trouble doing that for the plinking I do.
  21. I used to work around schools a bunch. Guns on public school grounds has been frowned upon if not all out illegal for a long time. I think it was done to allow stiffer punishment for those committing crimes on the property. It does though leave a gaping hole in the option for armed individuals to intervene in a Live Shooter scenario on the property. It could be debated either way as to which is better. Careless legal gun owners can be an issue. Not everyone that passes the permit class is fit to carry. I have seen that myself. On the other hand, no one being armed leaves an opening for a shooter to proceed without fear of retaliation. For her case, the issue of Tennessee being a "right to work" state could come into play. My employer does not have to have a stated reason to let me go. Makes it precarious to push then even if I have a legal right. And going to court on it does not pay a terminated employees bills right now. I am sure her contract has an out clause for the school system.
  22. No matter what, that would still sting a bit if it was in your mag pouch
  23. Getting this on the link to the new classifieds " You do not have permission to access the Classifieds System. Error code: CL-APP/2
  24. Looking to pick up a box of .22 Short. Anyone seen any on the shelf in East TN?
