I have been looking at it even beyond that. How to produce the ingredients too. More of a "I want to know how" than actually making it. Right now, I would just buy it. If things got bad, it might be necessary at some point. Eventually ammo will run out if things are chaotic. It would take a bit of trial and error, but most calibers could be reloaded with it. You would lose some power, but it would still fire. Or at least you could revert to flintlocks if you could not make primers. Just get things in my head to explore.

Just looking to discuss making black powder from scratch. I can read all day long on it, but has anyone tried it?

Still pricey for me. I know it is accommodations and everything, but $750 would buy lots of pork. Then if you need it butchered add $150. I would love to take my dad and enjoy the experience, but my budget is not there. I would love to try them on the WMAs, but I hear the same thing. They are there, but hard to get.

Just in case your last bit was not sarcastic I FIFY.

Welcome! I just drove through Marion today on my way back from further North. I am south of you too.

A bit more like legos, but they make them. https://www.waterbrick.org/product-uses/

It almost all sounds made up. Having to video opening and closing jaws???? This is an anti-hunters wet dream to publicize. I have never been interested in hunting predators. I just prefer to kill food I guess.

Yeah but someone like Demo Ranch does tgat crap for a living. Lol

Oh crap, we have to get someone on YouTube to try that....

Vacumm sealing them then even just stacking them in plastic tubs would work. This is an ok idea as far as keeping the ammo fresh. Still potential to bump the cans and break the seal. A good novelty gift, but I agree ammo cans are Still better for me too. I don't see grabbing a six pack of these and heading out the door the same as an ammo can.

You have one of the less common ones in that Hornet. You know you don't need both. You could live without the .357 I saw a hornet model for sale somewhere the other day. Not many go up for sale. I have a 30-30/20ga that I really like. I just love the idea of a .357 Model paired with a good .357 wheelgun.

Looks like it may not. A facebook post yesterday said the bbuilding owner is demolishing the range last week of January if no one can buy the building from him.

I pass an old house turned into a storage building with that on it every time I go out the back way from my house. I guess in the day it upscaled the house visually. Kind of like linoleum tile inside.

If @Murgatroy says he wears yoga pants with a built in holster I am leaving. lmao...

Try being a fat guy in tight clothes.....

Tough market to get into, but with ammo so cheap less people are reloading in quantity. If tgey make good stuff tgat is priced decent they will do well though

Glow in the dark AR safety lever
Ronald_55 replied to Capbyrd's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
I remember a Vietnam era US sniper talking about using the enemy's glow from a cigarette as a target aid. Not sure I want anything extra glowing if I am in a tactical situation. Also, I am in the "Why do I need to spend more money?" camp. I know where the safety is and what position equals fire and safe. This provides no functional benefit. -
I might have just figured Publix was upping its game. Shop here and get a free gun. Like the mints in the restroom at fancy resturaunts

New CRUSADER lowers from Spikes and Rare Breed
Ronald_55 replied to Magiccarpetrides's topic in Long Guns
I don't intend to sell things, but I hedge my bets because I have been poor more often than I like. -
And after paying that much, you have a gun that loses a lot of the compatibility perks of the AR and also some of the ruggedness of the M1A. Like someone said once, at least with the M1A, it makes a passable club, but the AR, not so much.

New CRUSADER lowers from Spikes and Rare Breed
Ronald_55 replied to Magiccarpetrides's topic in Long Guns
Here is the thing. Some of these lowers can be cool, but $350 for the plain one. Come on. You can get entire ARs for that now. My idea has always been that putting a logo or such on an item immediately affects your ability to resell it. @Capbyrd has a good point. Everything has a flip side. -
Remember about 10 years ago.... when

Any idea of date on that? -
Welcome from even farther east.

That is one way to look at it. I figure unless it is a very fast and complete breakdown of local, state, federal and military forces there will be a time where they will continue to try and enforce "order." I think keeping my head down for a bit will keep them from deciding I look well fed and I must have some to redistribute, you know, after their cut. I might be well stocked on guns and ammo, but I don't think I want to take on the local PD even, let alone a army platoon (possibly with armored support.). After the tipping point where they give up, most that survive are not gonna be easily relieved of their goods. I also realize one concealed guy with a .270, Mosin Nagant, or .30-06 is all it takes to ruin me "gathering" supplies from other camps. There are too many scenarios that end badly to begin with. I want a buffer to allow me to evaluate what is going on. So I stock a bit of food and supplies. Nothing huge or expensive. I don't have a bunker or armored car. I don't have a bug out location hidden away in the mountains. I just have my head in a place that keeps watch for the warning signs of the brown starting to spin around. If I have time I can add what ever looks necessary for that event. If not, I can beat it home and batton down the hatches. When things settle a bit, I can start the resupply phase. And at that time@Mark A, I hope I come out looking more like John Wick than Columbus. Looking forward to both movies.
