Oh no! I just bought three lowers, and each of them would eventually need one.

I can tell you where to get a great trigger kit for an AR15. :D

Well crap! Care to tell me what the price was?

Needing to add a wheel gun to the collection...thoughts??
gregintenn replied to MPGlock's topic in Handguns
Ifyou can run across one at a decent price, (prices are climbing rapidly) I would recommend a model 28 Smith and Wesson Highway Patrolman for a first revlover range gun. If you have a bigger budget and want a shinier one, hold out for a model 27. The N frame pistols are much easier to shoot welll than a J or K frame magnum. I've never had an L frame, but I suspect they'd work well too. -
It is a smaller store, but there's a lot of stuff in there. Ther store is nice, well laid out, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

7.62x39 accuracy problems

I bought a case of the Wolf recently as well. At that price, I just can't justify reloading it. I wish 223/556 would get back down to that threshold. I'm still loading it. -
7.62x39 accuracy problems

I'm not getting benchrest accuracy from Wolf ammo, but I've found it reasonably accurate and haven't seen any keyholes. For .25 per round or less, I just live with it. -

China made the best AK ammo. It's a shame it isn't still available. I don't think you'll be able to get the cheap Russian stuff much longer either. Surely someone will pick up the slack, and make some cheap stuff. I'm with Gordon; how much more could it cost to make it with the correct bullet diameter? What diameter bullets do American manufacturers such as Winchester, Remington, Hornady, etc. use? They sure charge plenty for it, if you can actually find it. -
We are getting a dog!!! Where to train and which one??
gregintenn replied to Ladyhay's topic in General Chat
I'll have to disagree with this. Some of the best dogs I've had were nothing more than mutts. However you decide to go about it, please remember these two things: 1) Buying a dog is like having a child. Getting him home is just the beginning of the financial obligation a dog requires. 2) Puppies chew stuff up! Live with it. They'll grow out of it sooner or later. -

Any bald guys use anything other than a razor?

I'm a clippers guy. I once shaved my head, and it stuck to my pillow like velcro. I didn't like that. -

A German Shepherd would be a fine choice. So would a Labrador Retriever. I would recommend a female. Males are usually good with children as well, but a female seems to have that motherly instict to take care of them. I see no need to have an intelligent dog formally trained. Spend time with it, and it'll try to do what it thinks will please you. It'll likely train you a bit as well. We have a Lab. He is part of the family. I'm on my on if trouble strikes, but although he's gentle as a lamb, I have no doubt he'd do everything possible to protect my wife and kids. -
Get one at least twice the size you really think you need. I have two overflowing and am considering a third. My wife says I need to sell some stuff. :shake: That's just crazy talk!

Why not shoot military surplus ammo? I imagine the new manufactured commercial ammo is loaded with .308 bullets because, if I'm not mistaken, newly manufactured rifles such as Ruger Mini 30, Interarms Mini Mauser, etc. will have a .308 bore. I don't know how much extra pressure .003" in bullet diameter would cause, but I think it could possible cause a problem. What I wish is that there was a readily available source for inexpensive brass for this caliber. I have some Norinco ammo, and thought I've never measured a bullet, I can attest to it's stellar accuracy; at least in an SKS. I don't recall firing any in an AK. Like you said, however, it has gotten expensive enough that I hate to shoot much of what I have left. -
If it'll feed into the chamber, I expect the old Star will fire it without incident (reloads of dubious origin notwithstanding).

Whatcha askin fer em?

I was prescribed this once for something, and only took one. It made me sick as the ebola virus. I'd rather hurt. Probably a good thing I didn't like it.

Where to Find 6.5x52mm Carcano
gregintenn replied to luvmyberetta's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Mine was free. I shot it once, and determined I'd be more likely to throw it and hit Kennedy than shoot it and hit him. I hope you friend has better luck with his. -
Anybody here have any experience with Radical Arms? I like their prices.

Where to Find 6.5x52mm Carcano
gregintenn replied to luvmyberetta's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
LOL! I have one, and some ammo. In my opinion, a box of ammo is worth more than the Italian battle rifle. http://www.lohmanarms.com/product_p/ppa65x52.htm This place claims to have it in stock. However, I ordered 22 mag ammo from the 2 months ago, and still haven't received it. http://www.midwayusa.com/product/322056/norma-usa-american-ph-ammunition-65mm-carcano-156-grain-soft-point-box-of-20 This IS in stock if he really, really, REALLY wants it. :shake: -
Not unless he has a very rough chamber.
-
Is your sizing die adjusted to where it touches the shellholder? I expect you aren't pushing the shoulders back quite enough when resizing.
-
I'd start with a defined budget; what kind of money are you willing to pour into this endeavor?
-
Do you have any suggestions for a homepage comparable to the old one? I don't like change! :wall:

 Well, I'll bet you look like an idiot anyway. Sounds like she has the situation pretty well under control, huh? Surely she hasn't considered getting...I don't know.....A GUN??!!?? A REAL DOG??!!?!? I'm beginning to find political correctness amusing.
