1. I've been wearing a Marathon TSAR for the last 6 years. It's bulletproof.
2. As a .300BLK, 338 Spectre and .458SOCOM shooter, I kind of like it.  I need another wildcat like I need a hole in my head, though.
3. Calcium carbide used in lamps produces acetylene - which does make an awfully black soot.  If you're not satisfied with a lighter, a cheap canister of acetylene is available at Lowe's to run in some of the handheld torches.    I'd just use a lighter myself, but Lord knows people will spend more money if you just show them a way how.
4. Wow.  Your warranty company could've bought you a whole new house.

Sig MPX

I'd buy one of these this afternoon if they were available.
6. Good luck and Godspeed!  Check in once and a while and let us know how you're doing.
7. I do you one better - I'll pay $5 for every rock that size anyone wants to take out of my yard.   Or, dig up the few remaining privet hedges I've got and I'll throw in the rocks for free.
8. Light oil on things that rotate and grease on things that slide will get you a long way in life - and will certainly extend the service life of your weapon.
9. Good to see you on!  We don't see you as much these days since your move.
10. I'm so sorry to hear this.   I've been close to a couple of suicides over the years and they've really taught me two things.  One, depression is not a problem, it's a disease.  And two, there have got to be some better solutions for chronic pain management - even if those fall outside of our traditional norms.  Our society treats so many problems with simple patches when there are no easyfixes.  We've got to do a better job on both fronts.
11. The best I've seen is the special the discovery channel sponsored a few years ago called JFK: Beyond the Magic Bullet.   It was a pretty cool setup from a shooter's perspective and the threaded the needle on the magic bullet.   I'd definitely recommend it.
12. Hey, that's pretty cool!  Congratulations!
13. The gas station across the street has pretty good breakfast.  I think it's the 82 Market and Deli?
14. That's a great looking blade.  What's the overall size? It looks to be maybe 11-12 inches.
15. I built a 10/22 for the SSSs. They're a lot of fun.
16. I love Bell Buckle, but the festival crowds are crazy - especially when you've got kids. If the crowds aren't your thing, you can try these: http://gardenandgun.com/article/anatomy-classic-do-it-yourself-moon-pies/page/0/1
17. It looks like John Allen started an appraisal business at the beginning of the year, so this may be a new group.
18. Didn't the Game Fair folks lose their FFL? Surely the ATF won't just turn around and issue you a new one.
19. Yeah, that thread makes me remember why we use a language filter.

I'd love to know some more about DDLES's status. Anybody got the story there? Edit: nevermind I caught up on the drama over at ARFCOM. I guess everyone I know who ordered in the last year just got lucky. What a shame.
21. "Buck buck number one come in!"..."Now I told you that story to tell you this one..." One of the greatest routines of all times.
22. Man, I hate this. We're all going to die someday, but 37 is way too young.
23. We caught it on an empty day and pretty much had the run of the place. I don't know about the rest of my crew, but I had fun.
24. My wife makes a lasagna with bechamel sauce that is out of this world good - straight out of Classics of Italian Cooking. It's usually about 3.5 hours off and on because the sauce simmers and reduces down a lot. The frozen ones that are edible practically cost more than making one from scratch. Factor in the time it takes to "cook" and the quality and I think I'd rather just have a sandwich.
25. Yeah, that's at least as tight as a Raven Phantom.  I'll have to give one a try.
