  1. Neat old piece of nostalgia from the old days, and with a bit of family heritage. I think the idea of a shadow box style mounting for it would be great!   And a really interesting artice on it as well. Thanks for posting all this guys.
  2.   Might work for some, but I drink far more than that an hour. Yes, I know it's really for all you skinny guys who don't sweat all your fluids out, and for basic emergency water source.   But that doesn't make it not an ingenious system. Like you Shorty, I'd like to try it if not for the cost.

I have the SP101 version. It's the one I found first. I debated on not getting it...for about 10 seconds. lol
  4. Tried to read all the materials. Did anyone see comments on the time required to fill an .8 liter? Seems like a factor to be known. All I remember seeing was a comment on how it worked better in 90+ humidity conditions.

I see you share my fondness for wheelies as well. lol   I can't be sure from the pic, but is that Wiley Clapp Ruger the GP100? I can't be sure, but I think it is.   That is going to be my next wheel gun purchase...at least unless something else pretty and shiney comes along first.
  6. What all the above have said. lol Best small, relatively speaking, 9mm on the market. I can't tell you how many small 9mm pistols I owned and tried over the last 10 years or so.   The Shield is hands down the best I've had. Great accuracy right out of the box for me. I put in an order for one right after shooting one at a tryout day at a local range.
  7.   Now this is a great idea!
  8. I'd like to vote for Rick. He's getting to be an obnoxious character. Just too one dimensional. With him gone, we could get stories going with other characters.   Abraham for instance. More about Morgan and Maggie possibly setting off on their own.
  9. OH MY STARS AND GARTERS!!!  (Bonus points for recognizing that)   That is a gorgeous piece of work!! I am fascinated by Damascus blades. They are just so strikingly beautiful. But alas, I'm sure 06sandstone is right...it will be a high priced item at the auction. Some very deep pockets will be needed to take this one home.   But maybe I can get by to see it while there.   Who else is going?
  10. Yes...this should be gorgeous!
  11.   Hey...I showered before coming. I'm offended. Perhaps it was the lack of a deodorizer in the shop. lol
  12. Ok, my views are pretty much as stated by the op's post. One thing most of this country cannot seem to grasp is the the doctrine of Muhammad states that all's fair, and I mean ALL, in dealing with the infidels. The infidel is one not of the Muslim followers. And we, as the Great Satan, are #1 on the long term list of to-be conquered lands.   This allows, no says and commands. that lying, cheating, deception, killing, and enslavement is the method to deal with all infidels. Meaning us. Anyone who does not accept the will of allah. (I will not capitalize it, because allah is not our God.)   The end goal of the muslim faith is the enslavement or destruction of all that does not conform and submit to Muhammad and Shariah law and government.   It is that simple. You can twist it around anyway you wish. You can take your touchy-feely liberal thoughts and suggestions and scream them to the high heavens and it will not change a thing.   The goal of Muhammadism is the enslavement and destruction of all that is not muslim.   Done. That's my opinion, and some will not agree. That is your prerogative.
  13.   But it makes a lot more noise...and that makes it more fun!
  14. A little late in posting this, but thanks to David at EW and our own TGO David for getting this set up and hosting this great morning.   Had a great time meeting current friends, making a couple new ones, and as hlb14 mentioned meeting an old friend.   Sorta threw me when I saw his face after a few pm messages lately. Just shows how widespread this forum can be.
  15.   Odd. My 22/45 thrives on the Federal stuff.   EDIT...Sorry this was about the MKIII, not the 22/45 I guess.
  16. Yep, I saw the session with Billy Dean some time ago and sorry to say I really wasn't impressed with it.   But...the cleaned up version with Larry and the Brothers is very good.   Boy...Larry sure has aged. lol Sort of makes me think of Eric Roberts in that duster and black hat.   Not dispariging them, I liked them quite a bit, but they just seemed to fade away or I didn't keep up with them. Whichever.
  17. Man, that's one nasty pic!
  18.   12 if you count the size of me. lol Looking forward to it. Will you have the kids with you?
  19. Wonderful!   Hosting gamily holiday gatherings is a rite of passage. Most "kids" really don't want to make the change, but the parents/eldest family members usually get to a point where it is not only better and easier for them, but a necessity because of the logistics and stress involved.   Yes...I speak from experience on the topic. But I bet we all can as well.
  20.   My thinking as well. But wondered why he felt that way.
  21.   As a fan of compact 1911s, I agree with you. I have several and they all seem to have a favorite load or brand of ammo. That really upsets me though.   As much as I like them, I really want my guns to utilize the same ammo. I know this can't always work out, especially in the short barreled frames.   The pickiest one I have is a S&W Pro with the 3.5 inch. It, and I, love 185 grain ball. But I get some great groups, for me, with Hornady CD 168 FTX.
  22.   Ah...that explains it. I'm just a little confused by it all. lol I thought it was something like a new location, and didn't quite put it all together.   Sometimes I just need a little help.
  23. So it's the same location, just a new building?
  24.   Very interesting product. I didn't know it was readily available. This just might work into a few plans. lol   I'll check them out after the coffee meet nest Saturday.
