  1.  A word of advice...don't stand too close to shaving cream cans unless you want a full body coverage experience. I know that personally.
  2. Now that's just cruel.
  3. I was told this morning that it applies to authorized dealer purchases only. And that within the dates listed only so far as the inventory that Sig purchased from GSG for this promotion lasts. Not thru the full dated period.
  4. Wow!! peejman, that is great. I followed part of that saga, and have several books on it. I can't imagine what it was like to be at that ceremony. You certainly were fortunate to have done so.
  5. Always loved the Warbirds. Just the sexiest planes ever produced. My big love was always the P-38 Lightnings in any configuration. One of the biggest thrills of my life was to ride in a restored B-17 this past summer. I absolutely now understand the words breathtaking and speechless. I really can't describe it. I was beyond belief for me. Was supposed to be able to shift positions to different locales while in flight. But my fat gut and butt wouldn't allow me to get into several areas I wanted. Really wanted to get into the bombadiers seat, but just couldn't make it. But not too disappointed, I got to stand in the open port above the navigators seat for the whole flight. I have memories that I can't describe. Unfortunately...no photos or video. The little Panasonic recorder I was using suffered some sort of catastropic failure during the flight and we haven't been able to recover anything from the sandisc. But it was still great. If the chances comes around again, I'll certainly do it all over.
  6. Dane has pretty well summed it up. I really like the commander size of the C3, but the Full size TacOps is just awesome.   There's always a lot of debate on the 1911 vs everything else, but htere's just something about a good 1911 that can't be quantified or beat. A 1911 platform is a pure joy to shoot...that about sums it for me.   Rating the TacOps? Well...if you like any 1911, if you like shooting: I don't see how you couldn't like it.   The Sig 1911 is, for me, as good as any, and better than a lot, of the others out there. I've owned a bunch of different 1911s and won't say it's the best, but it works for me.   In the words of a great advertising slogan..."Try it. You'll like it"
  7. Dane, the Ultra is an awesome little Sig. It's hard to hold one and not want to leave with it on you.
  8. If I didn't already own an C3, I'd have to take advantage of this.
  9. Felony charge may ass. Stick'em in the stocks and whip'em!
  10. All right now. Calm down. Don't get all swolled up just 'cuz some picker like yer style.   It ain't like it wuz  Neil Diamond or somebody big.    Hey, just raggin on you. That's wonderful news, buddy.
  11. Congratulations on getting a new toy!
  12.   You are being kind.
  13. All I can say is...."Nice!"   Someday I'll get my 10/22 out again. But I been saying that for over a year.
  14. Thanks. I really didn't have a clue about the Neos, but all this has made me curious. I think I'll look at them anyway at least.
  15. Just a longer barrel?? Not really familiar with the Neos, so this is only a guess. First pic I've seen of one with the rail. I must say it improves the look of the pistol for me. I just might have to look more closely at one now. OKAY....big time edit here. Do all these have a railed top? As I said, really not familiar with them. After looking at a few pics, maybe it's the 2-tone version in the pic that makes it look better to me. I know after checking on them just now; I definitely like it more than the all black or blue.
  16.   First off, I just finished The Clock Runs Down. Literally just now. Very Good. Am planning to start the rest of the stories at midnightscorner tonight.   Now...Keep It UP!!   But I'm not planning on loosing as much sleep reading late at night on the rest. I hope.
  17. Great!!! But why didn't you get up and shove that old fart out of the way...he stood in front of you all the time. LOL
  18. Berettas are well made, well engineered guns with a history of reliability that is second to none.   I've owned probably close to a dozen in the last 20 years, but rarely keep them. Although I do have 3 right now.   My problem is that I really just don't like them. They just don't work for me.   Absolutely nothing I can say bad against them. I just don't have the love for them that I do for other makes.   Would I buy one when a made in Tn model is available? Possibly. Would love to get one of the carbines, but doubt them being manufactured here first.
  19. Semiautos or wheelies?? Why? Do you think you can't have/like/appreciate both?   I started shooting with my dad on a S&W K-frame Model 48. Then as a young know-it-all, decided that it was outdated and I needed an autoloader. I just couldn't have anything else.   That didn't last too long though. I came back to revolvers as a range toy and really began to appreciate them again.   I have both kinds now, and though I personally prefer an autoloader for carry most of the time; I'll never willingly be without some kind of revolver. They are just too much fun for me.
  20. Yeah, same here. What happened?
  21.     Right on both counts!!
  22. I think I'll pass on these and stick with my normal laxative and cleansing routines.
  23. Of course he will!
  24. Yep, I stay away for a while and miss out again. Crap. Really like the newer grip style too.
