  1. That's Great!! I sincerely hope it works out for you.
  2. A belated Happy Birthday to you!
  3. First car. A 1962 Ford Galaxy 500.   A 4 door tank with a 390 police package. AM radio, and later an 8 track. I got this old family car in the spring of 1970.   I sure miss it.
  4.   LOL  Sounds very familiar.
  5.   I recently acquired a 26. I'd always shied away from the subcompact glocks, but an opportunity presented itself when I awnsered an armslist ad selling extra glock mags. I didn't really intend to buy the 26, but after holding it a while(it's a gen 4, btw) and getting the feel of it with a larger mag(19 mag), I just couldn't put it down.   I'm quite pleased with it so far.
  6. Congrats on starting a new experience. It's a good thing to reshape your routine.   At least that's what my doctor is telling me. Says I need to do more, try something new, get a new hobby. In general, just get up off my butt and do more.   I'm glad you, at least, are doing that.
  7. Daisy Mae sure looks sweet and innocent right now.  What did she just do?

    Walther PPK

The PPS can be had in 9mm or 40. Completely different animal.
  9. All the above reasons are good for why I don't want one. Plus one more...just too freaking big for my tastes.
  10. Just to be nitpicky...Hi-Point isn't the first to do this. S&W did this several years ago with the SD Packaging in selling the SVE 9mm/40 kits. I know it to be a fact. I own one of them.   Just sayin' they ain't the first.
  11. Great news!! Now slow down old man. I know it's hard to do that after an active life, but with the knocks you've taken recently; at least back off on the accelerator a bit.

    This.

I am awed and humbled by this example of true devotion. Just as I think sometimes I do "enough" a lesson is set in front of me.
  13. A Big LOL for this!!!   That would appear to be about the competency level for that little twerp.
  14. Sadly, the Hollywood types of today are nowhere near the level of these gentlemen. IN any respect.
  15.   Glocks and revolvers are not mutually exclusive. You can have and like both.   I started shooting with revolvers, and still have quite a few. In fact, they may outnumber my semiauto guns.   But for a number of reasons, some of which you mentioned; I prefer autos for carry probably 95% of the time. As far as range use, they are about 50-50 for me. Nothing else like a wheel gun at the range. You get to watch the  younger guys laugh at the wheelies when they come out.   And before it's over at least one will come over wanting to try it out and become interested. I think they find just how easy it is to shoot and control a revolver, then sometimes buy one for themselves.
  16.   Thanks for the info. I just found your page tonight, and intend to start the stories.   Oh...and welcome to TGO. Looks like a great fit for you and all us readers.

    Glock 42

      But then...so is every gun that isn't a 45acp.
  18. Glocks aren't for everybody. But if it works for you, this won't be your last. I can guarantee that.
  19.   Plug? So which did you write?
  20. Didn't have any tea to spray..but that's great anyway.
  21. Great. Not what I was thinking when clicking...it's better.
  22.   Second that. I got one of the OSS models in a trade deal several years ago and have been really pleased with it. As with most guns I own, it is far more accurate than I am.   Just on a side note...I have a Glock hating buddy who swears that the OSS is the best poly gun he's ever shot. But then he hates all poly guns as well. So maybe that's not much of an endorsement.

    Glock 42

      That would be nice.
  24.   Same here. I finally gave him a pair of hoes and boots. As if I really could use them afterwards.
  25. You mean on "Revenue Road"...Uh..I mean Two Ticket Pike?
