  1. Love the "body count" on the furniture. We went thru that many years ago with one of our first dogs and a sofa/love seat combo. The dog won.
  2.   Wow...quite a variety of looks available there.
  3. Very nice find. Also very tempting.
  4.   My wife used to shoot with me a bit. She always preferred revolvers as well. Perhaps the simplicity of the revolver is overstated, but she, and your wife as well it seems, has no interest in handling an autoloader. And in recent years, a little carpal tunnel and artriris has crept in, so it's pretty much set in stone for her. Revolvers only.
  5. OK...Wednesday morning.   Good episode. Looks like Boyd is gonna go full tilt boogie on somebody real soon.
  6. Currently 15 in my back yard. I open the door and let the dog out. I'm freezing from the cold air that came in.   Let Molly stay out for about 20 minutes and brought her in.   That was less than 5 minutes ago. Now she wants back out.
  7. Once again, wife has tv priority...Must watch Person of Interest and Jim Cavizel first.  But I get it afterwards.

    Glock 42

Thanks for the pics. I do appreciate them. Gives a good comparison for us. I may be tempted by one, but still has to do something to better itself over my LCP for a 380 replacement.
  9. I've owned a couple of the Tanfoglio pistols and honestly can't remember a problem with them. The worst thing I can say about them is they are big, heavy pistols. But they shoot well and comfortable because they are big, heavy pistols.
  10.   Recently picked up a TCP from a member here for my wife. We haven't shot it yet, but I have high hopes for it..
  11.   Now on this...I can agree.
  12.   I'm sure they look good, but how the heck do you work that wood...with a grinder?   Seriously though, I'd bet it is difficult to shape and polish this wood. All I know about it is that it will ruin a chain blade in about 2 seconds max.
  13.   I really am not trying to :stir:  here, but...I had to send my HiPoint back. I've never had to send a Taurus back.    I will say that Taurus has had problems, but so have most everyone else. And yes, I do own several Taurus pistols. Autoloaders as well as several revolvers. I even shoot them.    Favorite Taurus auto...my PT145. Fav revolver would be the Tracker 44Mag. Least favorite Taurus...a Tracker 22/22mag combo. Reason...it's just too heavy for that caliber.
  14.   I don't know that I'd go with "best" there ol' buddy. But definitely in the top echelon. His work with Eastwood in TG,TB, and TU, is awesome. And his spaghetti westerns are some of the best to come out of Italy.
  15.   Guess I'll have to watch it again...I really don't remember it. But that's what happens when your memory goes.
  16.   Congratulations! I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiments...and yes puppy flatulence is pretty bad in a car. But at least you can open the windows for relief.
  17.   Well said, Dennis.
  18.   Agreed. I saw it late one night on cable and just thought it was amazing. Started searching for a copy the next morning. Wasn't really hard to find either.   And if you noticed the cartoon intro and ending' it was done by the "Bloom County/Opus" creator. Berkley Breathed. I bought all the collected strips of his work. I find Opus to be great.
  19. I'll have to check this one out. I've not heard of it, so that's a plus for me.   All too often, the movie critics totally miss on movies. If it's not "artsy" enough, or from some "enlightened" filmmaker; it will just fall into obscurity.
  20.   Well....Tommy Lee Jones did help out. And the supporting cast was pretty good as well. Angelica Huston just stole every scene she had.
  21.   ?????
  22.   Second Hand Lions is fantastic!! One of the best!  It can't get much better than it does with Robert Duval and Michael Caine.
  23. No arguments about that.  Duval is great. He just gets better with age. Sorta like Wille Nelson.
  24.   I agree, but that's not saying much. I may go, depends on what the wife wants to do. So I could just end up there Sunday for a while.

    New pistol

Unless you are looking for a pocket gun, the Nano isn't going to be your best choice. I say this since you've mentioned Glocks, Taurus, and Beretta full size models. I gather you are in the market for sometning a little bigger...more range and house gun than small cc guns.   2nd and 3rd generation Smiths are good 9mm pistols and we are beginning to see more of them show up on the market these days since the poly guns are so in demand.
