  1.   I guess I'm truly blessed, I have not every had a problem with taking vaccines. As one who has had bot the full blown flu, and several bouts of pneumonia; I do take the shots every year.  My wife takes them and she feels bad for 3-5 days afterward. I'm not sure they help her or not. We can predict that every year. without fail, she will be sick in December or January. To the point of being bedridden for a week. But then, she has never had her tonsils removed and has throat and ear infections that seem to center around that.    And at our ages, tonsillitis is no fun. But surgery is pretty unsafe now for her.
  2. Darn good looking pistol!
  3. I know you want to be fair with your friend, but unless it is very recently purchased, and in fantastic working and cosmetic condition; I wouldn't go near 350 as an offer. The chokes may or may not have come with the shotty when purchased, but like extra mags with pistols, unless it is something really good as an "extra"...go buy a new one for the 400. Unless you owe your buddy money, favors, or ran over his wife and dog, 400 is too high for a used Daly.
  4. Like a lot of people, I have read so many of TEOTWAWKI stories that I really became somewhat jaded and complacent in thinking about thinks like long-term medical issues.   Then I read "One Second After."   I cannot imagine anyone reading this book and not being moved to the point of absolute terror thinking about a child, or an adult, with issues requiring specific prescription drugs to live.   My prayers are with you creeky. I do come close to understanding your concern. My wife and brother-in-law are both Type II.
  5. I'm slow...didn't see that truck coming.
  6. Dang!! A price from the Olden Days!
  7.   Although not a big fan of the G21, primarily because of the size of the grip, I sure would look at the G41 if I were looking for another 45 pistol. For the moment, I'd have to say the Springfield Tactical XD45 with a 5" barrel would be my favorite as a long/full size 45 pistol.
  8. AWESUM!!!
  9. Awesome owner and management to place the safety of Servicemen and women,  not to mention the implied ethics of the situation, above profit.
  10.   This would be an incredible seller. With the overall popularity of Glock products in general, I can't see it not being a great selling item. Couple that with the durability and ease of maintenance history of Glocks; and it could be one of the record-setting sellers in the carbine market.   All Glock has to do to achieve this is...1) manufacture it, and 2) make it as durable and easily maintained as the pistols.   I would buy in a heartbeat.
  11. No, that's just a bad dream. What I really fear is that she will find out how many I've bought and what I actually have paid for them.
  12.   I wish. Would be better than an overweight, arthritic, old fart.
  13.   Yes, he did at that. About like a habanero pepper to a baby.     I should have remembered that. Getting old I guess.
  14. Avatar is his real picture.
  15. With that kind of pricing, I'll happily wait for the R-51 and keep my LCP and Taurus handy.
  16. SOCOM!!! Yes.
  17. Save us from idiots
  18. I did a debit card purchase during that time. Thought about it while listening to all the news prostitutes, and went to my bank and got a new card.   Maybe not absolutely necessary, but I feel a little better about it.
  19. Never had the big desire for a 308, but after seeing one last weekend that a buddy got...well, it does sound interesting to me.
  20.   Yeah, Strel.  For some reason, I thought of him when reading this thread. Strange connection...I know.   But he did offer some interesting times here.
  21. My thoughts exactly. Say, what ever happened to the guy, whose handle I can't remember at the moment, who seemed to own every gun in the world, and wrote like an eastern Euorpean refugee? Always referring to his huge houses, cars and money. The one we all suspected of conning us with the bad grammer and syntax.
  22. Exactly that. Once private sales are outlawed, your only legal source will be over the counter, well documented and recorded purchases. Leaving just one more source of those terrible instruments of war to be contained. And yes, I know those sale records are not kept by any gov't agency. Right.
  23. Once again, congrats on a good find. Got it at the Franklin show?
  24. Although his comments on Obama are somewhat less than glorifying the man; Bill Cosby is a pretty staunch supporter of his president. And even though he(Cosby) is a very well educated man, does see the youth of America with a clear eye, and knows squarely where to point the finger of blame for the condition of black and white kids; he is still a liberal thinking man. Very liberal.
  25. Wow, what an inventive father.   Although the Wonder Woman outfit worries me a little.
